This hotel just opened about 6 months ago and as a Hilton Diamond member there were really only 2 choices downtown - Hilton Ballpark and the Hilton on Olive. This is an old remodeled Dillard's dept store so it's not like the usually Emb Suites blueprint of big open tower with common area below in center.

We got upgraded to corner suite and it was like an urban appt. Very big, high ceilings and low noise. Well decorated and living room was truly separated from the very large bedroom. As with all Embassy Suites, breakfast in the morning is a zoo, particularly on the weekend with all the kids. It would help to have 2 omelette stations on Saturday but hey it's free.

The pool is on the small side but these days big hotel pools are hard to find. Close to everything downtown. Would definitely go back.

I booked this property for a meeting that lasted 5 days. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is the new and improved version of Embassy Suites.
It's modern and classy. A welcome change from the typical dated Embassy Suites I am accustomed to.
The rooms are huge, larger than most apartments. If you like to have a tub in the bathroom, you have to specify 2-queen suite - king suites only have showers (but they are oversize). Lighting is good - especially in the bathrooms. Towels are soft (they're new!).
The breakfast area is on the 4th floor with the conference rooms which is very convenient for attendees. As with all Embassy Suites, they have manager's receptions each night and the bar and lounge area (same as breakfast room) on the 4th floor is cozy and welcoming and upscale. They even have twin fireplaces in frames set on the wall next to the bar. The business area is on the 4th floor as well and well equipped.
The location in downtown St.Louis is terrific - the attendees were able to go to Cardinals games, casinos, fine dining all in walking distance.
The staff were friendly and helpful from the valets who doubled as bellmen to the bartenders, to the housekeeping staff. Not one surly one in the bunch.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Queen rooms have tubs; king rooms have huge showers.

Upon arriving, the Front Desk clerk was not friendly as you would expect a Front Desk clerk to be. The room itself was great - large living room with sofa, dining table and flat screen TV. The bathroom was a nice size and the the king bed was great. The breakfast buffet was average but the omelet station was great. The hostess who greeted us and took our room number was not the slighest bit friendly. I liked the room and the hotel but the service was poor all the way around.

Had a awesome 2 night stay in March in a King Suite. High ceilings, spacious rooms, generous bath with lots of space for our family. The micro and fridge sealed the deal. Perfect for our late night snacks.
We had a 6th floor room on the backside of the building overlooking the convention center, and we never heard a sound from the outside.
Breakfast in the morning was a feast, although the lines were very long Sat AM to get through the food line. The staff was very professional & efficient.
The pool and spa are on an upper floor, and it seemed small. Was Packed with kids both nights, and the water treatment solution was very, very strong smelling .
Parking seemed a little tricky at first, there are some restrictions about getting in and out of the garage which was down the street, but no different than any other downtown parking situation. The valet parking was topnotch service--$26 a day I believe.
Would highly recommend this hotel for a downtown St Louis stay. Is within walking distance of many sites, and we loved the roomy feeling and the breakfast.

Stayed here recently with my brother during NRA convention. Very convenient location to the convention center...we walked there. This is a all suite property...ours was quite roomy with a sitting room as you walk in (with a flat screen TV) couch and desk then a separate bedroom with a closeable door and the bedroom also has a large flat screen TV. We had 2 queen beds on the 4th floor...which is good becuz that's the floor the restaurant is on. Managers reception is daily in the pm, with free beer and well drinks plus munchies. Complimentary breakfast was quite good you can get eggs cooked to order and that includes omelets. All the juices plus coffee and milk.
The staff were all professionals as you would expect at a Hilton property. Had my car valet parked (it's in the basement of the hotel) the valets bring it or park it whenever you want. No parking on the street. Beds were comfy. You do hear some street noise but not bad. Would I stay here again? You bet I would!

Room Tip: I hear a corner room has a nice city view. Ours wasn't bad either.

Great hotel…very nice, breakfast buffet was excellent and includes an ‘omelet station’……great location if you are going to an event at the convention center since it’s just across the street……if you drive be prepared to pay to valet, but this is to be expected at most downtown hotels……

This hotel has alot of unique and desirable features, but we stayed on the second floor with our room overlooking the stoplight on 7th st. and Listened to extremely loud engines rev and race for most of the night. Street Noise woke us up again at 6am. Windows are original to the building, which is a nice try, but they've gotta upgrade. We could actually pull open our windows to the outside...probably dangerous. We'd consider staying there again but ONLY if they could promise a quieter room
