Our welcome to Hotel Ignacio came when we ran over a screw a few blocks away from the Hotel and arrived at the property limping along with a flat tire. The desk staff checked us in and let us know that without a doubt they would be able to help with our predicament.
Then arrived manager Dimitri Heaggans. I cannot express how amazed and relieved we were when he said absolutely he would change our tire.
There he was after battling our tire with a stain on his tie, dirty hands, and a huge smile on his face.
All of this was our welcome to Hotel Ignacio. The icing on the cake came when we entered our room which was big, uber hip, and filled with light from two huge windows with great views.
Even the elevator was great, the fastest elevator I've ever seen in a renovated hotel.
Oh, and the hotel is attached to this really cool Triumph and Ducati motorcycle shop.
It's in this great part of town we've never visited. We made Midtown our home and walked to a concert, great restaurants and a fun German biergarten. It's also a few minutes drive to the wonderful Forest Park (or they have bikes you can check out to ride there).
This will absolutely be our go-to hotel any time we stay in St. Louis.

Room Tip: I'd imagine all rooms are great, but we loved our corner room on the fourth floor.

Thank you for the excellent review. Dimitri and I laughed over the tire repair! He goes above and beyond and we value him as part of the team. We both appreciate the review and hope to see you (sans flat tire) again! Stacey

I enjoyed using the fitness center at this beautiful hotel, but found the unexpected free bike rental service the best way to keep fit, and an exciting way to see the city! I would highly recommend this hotel for private parties or quick city get-away events with friends!

Thank you for the review! I think I may have seen you on the bikes when I was driving to a meeting! I am so glad that you took the opportunity to enjoy the city via two-wheels! By the way, for all of the people who may be thinking "biker's" as in motorcycles...we have a motorcycle dealership and a fantastic motorcycle museum attached to the hotel! Stacey

We had a great stay at Hotel Ignacio for 4 days to revisit St. Louie after graduating from SLU 24 years ago. The location is central. The staff are friendly and skilled. The rooms and hotel are clean and elegant.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Ignacio with our daughter a few weeks ago and are already looking forward to our return. The hotel was contemporary and comfortable. The art work throughout the hotel and in our room truly makes the space unique. The hotel's location couldn't be better- easy access to head downtown and other great St. Louis neighborhoods. Stacey and Brett have a great team- they are helpful, friendly, and knowledgable of the area. The complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning is an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again!

My wife received a voucher for a 1 night stay at this property for her years of service from her employer. We decided to stay here for our wedding anniversary to check it out. When we walked into the lobby, it was open and expansive, well lit, and I had the immediate feeling that we were in a European Hotel lobby. The look and feel was very similar to Hotels in Italy we had stayed in last year. The front desk staff was very coureous and welcoming, pointing out all of the amenities available to us. We were then given our room assignment, which was on the top floor, affording us a nice view of the Downtown skyline. The room itself was of a size that most European Hotels would list as large, with a Television masquerading as a mirror on the wall, and a sliding door for the bathroom, no doubt to save space, like many European Hotels do. There was a safe and a refrigerator, along with the usual amenities, iron, ironing board, etc. This is definitely not a cookie cutter, chain type Hotel. There were also several items in the room that presented some challenges, one was the phone, very modern, and easy to use, the next was the mini tablet that had all of the information regarding the hotel, and surrounding areas offerings, from bars to restaurants, to sightseeing opportunities. We even called the front desk from the mini tablet to ask about the television operation, as the glare from the outside was affecting the operation of the remote. The staff came promptly, and assisted us with correcting this issue. We had a nice evening watching some TV and relaxing after dinner. The next morning, we woke up and decided to try the Brunch at Triumph next door, a bar/restaurant.museum revolving aroung motorcycles in general, and Triumph motorcycles in particular. They had a nice brunch, with eggs cooked to order along with salads, pastas, potatoes, breads, and pastries. It was very good. The entire area is within walking distance of the St Louis University campus, and, as such, there are many bars, restaurants, and clubs very close by, which makes for a vibrant atmosphere at night. All in all, this is a very nice, modern, European styled Hotel, in the perfect mid-town location.

St. Louis U put me up for a couple of nights at their hotel -- and I was surprised by how great this hotel is. It is one of those new, hip, interesting hotels. It took me a few minutes to find the TV because I thought it was a mirror. Lots of quirky touches in the room. If you want generic, this might not be the place for you. Room was smaller than chain hotel rooms. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and fun. I would totally stay again, if I was passing through St. Louis.

Staff is outstanding. Very pleasant front desk.
Decor is lovely, with lots of art from the St. Louis University collection.
Rooms are typical size of a boutique hotel. Not as large as, say, a Hampton Inn, but big enough.
The building is probably old, but the entire inside looks brand new. The rooms and bathrooms are very nicely appointed.
The hotel is right across the street from St. Louis Univ., in a nice area. The Fox theater is only a block away, and there is a terrific motorcycle museum (free!) right next to the hotel. The university police routinely patrol the area, including the hotel parking lot.
We would definitely choose Hotel Ignacio again.
