We were in St. Louis for a family wedding, and we stayed here on the first of our two-night stay. My only regret is that we didn't stay here BOTH nights, because truly, this hotel was the shining star of the trip. The room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and modern, and we loved the artistic touches to the room. Everything seemed like it was specially designed for the hotel by an artist, rather than the generic things you typically find. The flat screen TV is disguised as a framed mirror on the wall (see pic); there are quirky things like a hand coming out of the wall (see pic); and even the brick walls gave the room an unusual touch.
The customer service was outstanding. We had a cab called for us on a very busy night, and the front desk worker followed up on his own volition more than once--we probably only waited 15 minutes. The customer service makes you feel really welcomed, and it reminds you that it's a small hotel.
The location is in Midtown, and while this is definitely not walking distance to the famous attractions, we found that there were many bars and restaurants in Midtown to enjoy. Downtown is a short drive--well worth it to stay at this hotel.More
