“Strolled through City Garden”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

Some friends and I visiting St. Louis and staying downtown had to visit this garden. We probably went on one of the most hot and humid days we were there but it was worth it. We all loved that all the kids were playing in the fountains and having so much fun. We loved the sculptures and even the placement of the sculptures. We even saw a cool wedding party go there to take pictures - - the bridesmaids had on black and white striped tshirts and pink tutu skirts - I absolutely loved it - they should have been in a bridal magazine! There was one old fashioned truck there as a food truck selling lemonade and ice cream - so quaint and loved it. It doesn't take much time to go through - but it's definitely worth the stop and such a wonderful addition to downtown.

“Great for a hot day”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

My kids loved splashing in the fountains and pools at the City Garden. Lovely sculptures, too. Refreshments on site, as well. Was a little crowded but it didn't seem to bother anyone (and it was a very hot Saturday afternoon when we were there). Would recommend for kids.

We walked in the early morning, and the sculptures were lovely. They are well placed, making this park a delight!

“Stay Close to the Arch”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We weren't sure where the sculptures were in the park so we started closer to Union Station. Let's say that seeing a homeless person take off her pants to wash them in a fountain was not what we expected to see. There were a lot of homeless people and vagrants hanging out in that section of the park in the evening so I'd avoid it.

The blocks closer to the arch are where the sculptures are and there are more tourists and locals there as well as park employees and police. There was a good combination of sculptures and a festive atmosphere. There is interesting lighting so try to see this in the evening.

“Nice small park”
Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

We stopped in on our way home from the city museum and was pleasantly surprised by this park. The kids ran through the water spouts to cool off, the art structures were interesting to see. We were there about an hour.
