Review of City Garden

I never thought City Garden was a good idea. Who wants another sculpture park? Who goes downtown with their kids? Why put in an area surrounded by bland modernist buildings?

I was very very wrong.

This place is amazing, all the more so in how it brings out the beauty of the surrounding buildings. Even without kids shouting and playing, it activates a formerly dead urban space. Add the playing children and you've really got something. People compare it to Millenium Park. I like it better - and I'm from Chicago.

A large variety of different types of sculptures. Very impressive that this city enjoys it's art and shares it openly with all to see.Loved the white rabbit, the waterfall and the pink suit guy without a head. Oh yeah and the head!

What a cool little hidden gem! Didn't know this place existed but happened upon it when leaving the arch. Great place to walk and take photos or even just sit and enjoy the day. What a great use of space.

There are lots of sculptures here and it is important to get a map. They also have food trucks and a cafe for food. There is a fun water feature for small children. Saw lots of people eating there lunch there and lots of moms with little kids playing in the water. Bring a camera.

We stumbled upon the City Garden after a long day of wandering around the city. It was a great place to sit and relax. The fountains were refreshing and peaceful to listen too. I would have loved to sit and sip a tasty beverage by them. There was also a hi-def giant screen in the garden that was playing the St Louis vs. Dodgers game that was taking place down the street - and it was awesome to see people gathered in the park to watch the game for free. There were also some pretty cool sculptures in the garden.
