“Not bad”
Review of City Garden

City Garden
Ranked #16 of 275 things to do in Saint Louis
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed March 17, 2012

If you're from out of town like we are, City Garden is more of a walk through and get it done kind of attraction. The sculptures aren't very aesthetically beautiful and there's not much to do there. It does compliment the scenery of Old Capitol and the Arch, but other than that, there's not that much to do. I can see it being a comfortable facility to the locals, but for me I'd read/relax at Forest Park.

This garden & sculpture park take up two blocks smack in the middle of downtown St Louis. Be sure to grab a brochure to read how the design of the park is a reflection of the St Louis area....from the "mounds" to the rivers to the stonework & design of the gardens. The sculptures are great fun. Don't try to make "sense" of things...just enjoy. I work downtown & this was a superb addition. We get to enjoy it every day with the changing seasons.

This walk-through garden provides fun for kiddos with extra energy and adults wanting to see unique artwork. Bring towels and a change of clothes for the kids because there is a fountain area that will be irresistible to all. Fun year round, but especially in the warmer months.

Relaxing stroll and interesting art, and a "squirt" fountain that's fun to watch the kids as they try to catch the squirts of water. (I'm sure there's a more official name than squirt fountain, but that's what comes to mind at the moment!). A green oasis right in the middle of the city.
