Even a Protestant will love this place (I did). Beautiful way to spend a couple of hours, you won't be disappointed.

This church has the largest display of mosiacs. It is just incredible. The outside reminded me of Notre Dame in Paris. We got there around 10:00 (daily mass is earlier) and had the church basically to ourselves. I was in awe of all the beautiful work in the church. Really a must-see if you have time.

After several runs around the World. This Cathedral is STILL my favorite... no, I didn't go to High School here. But, 55 years of construction, the arcades and acoustics are unequalled.

So pretty and a lot of history! We went to the little museum and learned the history. We had been to the sister Church in New Orleans. Sorry we missed the mass each time.

It's hard to believe such an ornate building is in America in St. Louis! The sheer vastness of the ceilings and walls filled with mosaics is astounding. Definitely stop here when visiting St. Louis. You could spend as little as 20 minutes to as long as a couple of hours marveling at its grandeur. Plus, it's free!
