This restaurant was near our hotel, and it a super cool neighborhood. I ordered the chicken, sundried tomato, goat cheese crepe with pesto sauce, and it was fabulous.

Recently was at Scape (think the crepery part may be outdated). The event was a wedding in the back courtyard and then a reception upstairs with dinner, cocktails and live music. It was all beautiful -- the back courtyard was lovely for pre-ceremony cocktail party with delicious hor's dourves being served my very polite and professional staff. They had a bar open outside for this event. Once the ceremony was over, the party was moved upstairs (never knew there was an "upstairs" before) where we were served a delicious dinner complete with salads and dessert. Another bar was open up in this area, with a separate set of restrooms and enough space for a quartet of live musicians. Truly enjoyable, delicious and a beautiful venue!

If so, do not order it at Crepes Etc. on Maryland Plaza in St. Louis. I love good french onion soup. The french onion soup I received was not good at all. It was very thin and brothy, which in itself would not relegate a good french onion soup to mediocrity if there was real taste of caramelized onion in the broth. This soup tasted like brown salt water with onions. The "crouton" was way too large for the size of the bowl and completely soggy by the time it reached the table. The cheese that topped the soup was not good quality, which added to the saltiness. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich to accompany the soup (actually I originally ordered the tomato bisque with grilled cheese on brioche but the tomato soup and the brioche were not avaialable - I was informed of this fact about 10 minutes after ordering). The grilled cheese sandwich was served on "toasted" sour dough bread. Literally toasted, not grilled. The cheese on this sandwich had no character - just some kind of oily cheese on toast. While waiting for my order I noticed other dishes being served that looked very appetizing. The onion soup and grilled cheese were VERY sub-par. If you choose to eat at Crepes Etc. order something else.

Three of us went for Sunday brunch. Having a waiter in training is not an issue, let the table know. This young man acted like he knew what he was talking about wen asked bout the wine....but he didn't. The "real waiter" came over and did a great job. We ordered brunch....we waited, wited, waited and then the food came. A medium burger was delivered charred.....and it took forever to redo it. The table had finished, although they tried to wait. The restaurant was not slammed...poorly run, who is in charge?.

I had the peaches 'n cream crepe and it was fantastic! Very clean and stylish, fast food and the fruit tasted very fresh--if there were one in my town I'd be fifty pounds heavier because I'd eat here every day!
