I would rate this hotel as five stars overall. The staff are friendly, too. But, housekeeping? I have never seen such horrific service & management in my 20 years of travel. That is why I gave it 1 star.
As Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum member, I am usually accustomed to excellent experience at Hyatt properties. But, for two days in a row, I was unable to reach housekeeping by phone (you have to call if you want your sheets changed) so the first day I skipped service. On the second day I told the front desk to request full service on my behalf since I needed to get the sheets changed. The front desk apologized and said it would be taken care of. The lady was so pleasant. So, imagine my surprise when I came back to my room to find it untouched after being out for 15 hours.
I called the Front Desk and Ryan helped send up Aigner to take care of what should have been done. Aigner was great and kept on apologizing (for something she isn't responsible for) but I never once heard from the housekeeping manager. I have to wonder if the hotel keeps hiring
incompetent housekeepers or if this issue is caused by a manager who is just disengaged and does not take responsibility for his/her dept's shortcomings.
Hope the GM reads this and addresses the issue himself. This is otherwise a great hotel. More
