“Good Choice for a Girls Weekend Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

I stayed at this hotel May 17-20th..for a Girls weekend getaway. It was great because of the close proximity to the arch..The St Louis Gateway Arch was literally about a 5 minute walk across the street! We didn't have a view from the room but if you went to the 4th floor you had a great view of the arch and was able to take pictures ( even thru the dirty glass).. The hotel room was nice. Our first room had water spots every where and it was too far a distance for my friend to walk so we asked to switch rooms.. the second room was smaller and closer to the elevator however it was still a ways to get to the elevator.. They have restaurants in the hotel which were great as well as a enterprise rental and Starbucks.. it was even within walking distance to the old court house which was great.

Would I stay again.. Probably so because it was so close to the arch... It was a lovely stay

Room Tip: Get a arch view and you may be able to see the fireworks one night

Thank you MZPASTRYCHE for your great comments and 4-Star review. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your girls’ weekend; hopefully we have you back several more time this summer. One feature I know you’ll love, our 18th floor rooftop terrace with a full arch view. Make sure you check it out on your next visit, it’s a great area to lounge and enjoy the views of the city.

We were coming to St. Louis to meet friends and go to a Saturday evening Cards game. At the last minute, we decided to go a night early and enjoy some couple time. We booked at the last minute and I still feel like we hit the jackbox. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the outstanding guest service. Mirta checked us in and we told her that we used to live in St. Louis and how infrequently we are able to steal time away together. She got a huge smile on her face and upgraded us to a room with the most amazing view of the Arch. We cannot begin to thank her enough for such a kind and throughtful gesture. It set the tone for the whole weekend. Thanks to Mirta and the rest of the amazing employees, we never stopped smiling. Within an hour of checking in, we cancelled our Saturday reservation and extended our stay at the Hyatt. We'd still be there now if we could :) The combination of beautiful facilities and first-rate guest service (not to mention the incredible location) easily makes this the best choice for a downtown stay. Again, our sincere thanks to Mirta and the rest of the Hyatt team for giving a stressed out couple one of the best weekends in recent memory. We'll be back!

The biggest knock I have with this property is expensive parking. I did the self park, I did not want to park a block and a half away for cheaper parking.

We had an awesome view of the Arch. The staff was very nice and easy to deal with.

Thank you Robert P, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and your Arch view room. In regards to the pool, while we don’t have one on site, our concierge does have a variety of options, including City Gardens, which is a fun array of water fountains for kids to play in. Please contact me at any time if you have any questions or need anything at all. Thanks again for your business and your review.

We've grabbed this hotel at the last mintue from a third-party website and been happy every time. You can't beat the location; if Arch ever falls over it will probably come to rest on this hotel. All the staff were great, including the in-house Starbucks that was a bonus. Their bar had good prices on drinks too. The workout facility was great too. I'd gladly stay here again.

Thanks Rather_Nomadic for your great review and repeat visits! I’m glad to hear that we’ve been able to exceed your expectations with each visit. Let’s hope the Arch doesn’t fall over – although it might not land on the hotel, it’d be close - and I don’t think that’d be good for the city. Thanks again for your awesome review.

Thanks Jeff S for your feedback and 5-Star rating! Please let me know if there’s anything we can do in the future to make your stay even more enjoyable. If you plan on returning with your family please reach out to our concierge Andrea (Andrea.Breummer@hyatt.com) in advance so she can help plan some kid friendly activities for you. There are a lot of free activities in St. Louis - the Zoo and Forest Park to name a few. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you.

Upon arrival to the hotel, i was greeted by many different staff members and was treated with the utmost generosity. I was directed to the nearest restaurants and attractions with the most convenient directions. I felt as though the staff truly cared about me as a person and wanted to make sure that i had an amazing time. I never felt like i was a burden and always felt comfortable asking questions about anything at all. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional; there isn't a speck of dust in sight. Although i didn't spend a lot of time in the room, i was impressed beyond belief. Personally, i never receive a good nights sleep in a hotel. I slept like a rock the night i stayed here. The bed was exceptional, very roomy and soft as a cloud. After my stay at the Hyatt, i will never stay anywhere else when i am in St. Louis. I have been back twice and loved it just as much. Hands down the best hotel experience of my life.
