“Could not be better.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

Rooms were very clean and quaint. Everywhere there were items of interest which Jordy enjoyed elaborating on. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. Lillabet creates wonderful breads and biscuits which make each morning a discovery treat. If you're coming to St. Louis, you cannot do better than to stay with Lillabet and Jordy. We'll be back.

Over the past 30+ years we have stayed at a lot of B&B's - Casa Magnolia is our favorite. Here's why: Lillibet & Jordi - great hosts, genuinely interested in you. House - beautifully and tastefully restored 1906 home, nothing "cutesy". Location - across from Tower Grove park, very convenient to midtown and downtown St Louis. Breakfasts - outstanding & varied. Backyard - great pool, for hot SL summers, nicely landscaped. We've stayed here twice and will stay again, our son lives 6 blocks away.

Jordi and Lillabet were as good as you can get as Bed and Breakfast hosts. Their service was second to none and the breakfasts were outstanding. We really enjoyed their friendliness and insight of St. Louis. Best Bed and Breakfast experience we've had and we have been doing Bed and Breakfasts for years.

1st Experience with Bed & Breakfast that made you know you would return on your next visit to ST. Louis. Hosts made everything perfect , rooms lovely, greeted each morning with beautiful breakfast, and both hosts , Lilabet & Jordi ,were great story tellers as well as being charming and accomodating. Offered to pick us up if we over-indulged, provided home made cookies and beverages in a lovely sitting room each evening, and made you want to return and refer. The home was decorated to welcome the fall season and we certainly felt welcomed.

I was the only one in our group that had never stayed at a B&B. I had no idea what to expect. Boy,was I surprised. What a wonderful weekend we had with the owners Lillabet and Jordi! Do they know how to entertain! The food was so good; surroundings very unique. They were both very knowledgeable about what to do and where things are in St.Louis. Very attentive to making us comfortable and feel at home. Lillabet and Jordi spent time with us at our urging, to talk about the history of Casa Magnolia and how they acquired all that surrounded us. Whether it was artwork, furniture, or something from Jordi's home country of Spain, everything seemed to have it's own story. We all feel that Casa Magnolia is not your average B&B. It truly is one of the best kept secrets in St.Louis!

Jordi and Lillabet are an amazing fun-loving couple (congrats on your 19th anniversary) who know how to truly make you feel right at home. Thank you for the homemade cookies in the sitting room every night and the candies left by our bedside. They've done an excellent job in restoring their Victorian home while at the same time including all the modern conveniences. We hope next time to enjoy your beautiful backyard including the swimming pool. Lillabet is a fantastic cook and baker. Her breakfasts every morning included fresh fruit, homemade breads, homemade jams/jellies, egg/meat frittata (or, another wonderful egg/meat dish), etc. They asked about food allergies and likes/dislikes so they could prepare a breakfast to meet our needs. Jordi helped with our bags, offered us umbrellas on a rainy day, made recommendations and gave great directions. The location is perfect and has a lovely view of Tower Grove Park directly across the street. Out our back door was the Shaw Art Festival; around the corner is the world famous Missouri Botanical Gardens; in 10 minutes we were shopping at the Galleria and Brentwood Blvd; and we were less than 10 minutes to great Italian dining on The Hill. Thank you so much for opening your home to us and making us feel like family.

My wife and I took the train from Chicago for a reunion in St. Louis with long-time friends from Kansas City who, fortunately for us, like to stay at B&B's instead of motels. Their choice of Casa Magnolia at 4171 Magnolia Ave. made our 3-day visit to St. Louis far more memorable than anything Forest Park or anything else in the city could have prompted. The breakfasts, the room, the bed, the décor, the back yard patio, the incomparable ambiance and the cookies (oh, what cookies!) combined to make September 3-6 red-letter days on our 2013 calendar. What will stay with us the longest are memories of Lillabet and Jordi, our hostess and host, whose warm hospitality and willingness to share themselves with us surpassed all the splendid tangibles they had to offer. We feel as though we have made two new friends. Christmas cards to them will follow.

Harry and Jo Jones, Chicago

Room Tip: All three rooms are fine and filled with antiques.
