The Science Center's ticketed areas include the OMNIMAX, a four-story IMAX Dome theater; the James S. In my opinion, the Science Center is average. It's an ok place to visit once a year or so, but we don't go very often. They really need some updated and more hands on type exibits, especially for younger kids. We like the IMAX, but it's kind of pricey. We have gone a couple of times for special events and have been disappointed, especially with the Pirate ship exibit. Very over priced, nothing hands on and you couldn't even take pictures. If you do go, you can get free parking if you go in through Forest Park and enter by the Planetarium. Once we discovered this, we will never pay $8 for parking at the Science Center again. Until they get some updates, it's just really not worth the money unless there is a specifici thing we want to see. We do like the Build A Dino, however.

Has not changed much since built. Appeals to elementary kids mostly. However, the Omni theater is good. Current (January 2012) Star Trek exhibit may be of interest to fans

The Saint Louis Science Center is another example of St. Louis' commitment to free access. Most cities charge large fees just to enter, and there's so much to see and do here for free. Some exhibits charge a fee, but the center itself is a half day of exploration. Don't miss this great venue!

The St. Louis Science Center was awesome. Lots of history, science and educational stuff made fun. We spend about 5 hours here and could have stayed longer, but just didn't have time. We also went to the planitarium and the kids loved the show on the stars. We will have to go back and do this again. Even my teenage son had a good time.

I can appreciate science in all it's glory and how marvelous our technology is but...getting them to update the exibits is next to mundane in its efforts. Great place to learn and explore but not something that would be an every week attraction.
