“Beautiful setting”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

We went to find the grave of my aunt's husband who died in WW II. There is construction in the main administration building right now, so we didn't have access, but there was a grave-locator (computer) pavillion in back which provided maps and helped us to locate the correct spot in the park. With just a little exploration, we were able to find the correct section and row. Amazing how many thousands of rows of tomstones you could see! It's a huge place, so plan on driving.

“Good for adults and older kids, but there's nothing for younger kids”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

This is a beautiful park with multiple pavillions, ball fields, a walking trail. My biggest complaint is that there is no playground for children.

“Passing Through”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

Visited the park after an appointment at the VA med ctr at JB. Awesome views of the Mississippi, Illinois and the area. Lots of historic buildings, several venues available for public use. Just a really serene place to stop and contemplate.
