I love the Botanical Gardens but this display was not worth the money, the crowds or the cost. The website encouraged you to buy non-refundable tickets ahead of time because of the possibility of "selling out". They were still selling tickets at the gate when it was so crowded you could barely move through the exhibits. Not much to see or do there, and it was expensive and very cold. I am sure they will have the exhibit next year since it seemed to be a big money maker, but I will not be returning.

We went in October, which, they admit, is not the best time to go--maybe we'll return in the spring--but even so, there was plenty to see, and it was a relaxing stroll in quite a park. And the Japanese garden is really cool, as is the rain forest. Well worth the trip.

The garden glow was an amazing event. Will probably attend again before the end of it! Even though the temps were in the single digits the night we went, it was still well worth it!

There is nothing to dislike about the Botanical Gardens. If you are not a member, you can still enter the gardens for free on one day during the week. Their special events are not to be missed.

We are longtime members of the Missouri botanical garden. Having traveled to uncountable number of locations and visited gardens wherever we could find them I can easily say that the Missouri botanical gardens is one of the best on the planet.

The current installation in the garden is the GLOW for the holiday season. It will be on display until January 4 of 2014. We have been to a countless number of holiday light displays as a family. Certainly none have ever been as spectacular as the Glow at the MBG.

The cost for nonmembers to enter is $18 per adult. All this may seem a bit stiff let me assure you it is well worth it and going to a wonderful organization.

Encourage your friends, encourage your family and go see the Glow at the Missouri botanical garden.
