The botanical gardens were lovely, and the Sassafras Cafe was delicious. A great place to visit in St. Louis!

Went to see the gardens, beautiful and there even had a tram to eliminate the walking. Had lunch in their resteraunt and it was excellent. Don't miss it if you are in Saint Louis.

The exotic plants and walking paths! The fish, the shady nooks and the colorful flowers of varieties from all over the world.

I have been going here for years and still love going. It can be what you are looking for, a peaceful stroll through gardens listening to birds, a place for a brisk walk, somewhere to learn about plants you may want in your yard as well as a venue for special events. I must say the special events, such as Chinese Lanterns, seem too crowded but it was still magnificent to see. Consider becoming a member so you can visit often.
