We visited and stayed at Union Station several times when our children were young, but there is little to nothing there now. Aside from a couple of tired-looking restaurants and two or three sports memorabilia stores, the fudge store is all that is open now. Hotel area is a pretty old building, but unless going to a play, go elsewhere.

I love to shop here since some of the stores are not in Illinois, where I live. It is a nice slice of history and the restaurants are awesome.

Really surprised by how lame this.....uh.......mall? area? place to park? is.

Tons of empty retail space, but the stores are pointless....several St Louis trinket-type shops and fast food (Panda Express, Subway, Tollhouse) but nothing you would go there for. Unless you want Hard Rock Cafe, because that's where it is.

The lobby of the hotel (used to be a Marriott, now a Doubletree) is amazing.....really gorgeous, and it's great that it is being used and hasn't fallen into decay. But I wish there were more in the actual Union Station for people to come to.

However, the Fudgery has really good fudge (samples!) and put in a crowd-pleasing show, with singing, fudge-slinging and comedy. It was excellent.

Parking was $2 for an hour. Bathrooms were nice and clean (located under the stairs to the hotel)

This building is absolutely gorgeous. It's an old train station that has been converted into a shopping center. Unfortunately several stores seem to have come and gone. The public should embrace this place. It's a wonderful place.

we walked into the hotel bar while walking around the city while on a business trip. I can see how one might have been disappointed if one expected shopping & food, but wee expected & just loved sitting inside, drinking a drink, & looking around. the restoration is beautiful.
