“Union Station of today”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Some may remember when this place was full of trains, but sadly those days are gone. But it has been renovated into a beautiful mall with lots of quaint shops and restaurants. There's even a large hotel there with lots of the luxuries and designs of the days when the trains still ran. Another beautiful place to take wedding photos.

“Gorgeous building”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

This repurposed train station is absolutely brilliant. Much of the original architecture and surface designs remain and are very well maintained. Just wish they kept it open longer on weekends for us to enjoy more cocktails!

“Beautiful but sad...”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

The Union Station is beautiful, amazing history but it is sad as it is quite empty. When we were there mid afternoon it seemed like there was no one around at all. It would be hard to imagine it as busy as it was years ago now with all the empty stores and food kiosks areas.

“70% Empty & No Security.”
Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

Only a handfull of cheap STL gift shops open. Not a guard or police person in sight. Parking lot dark. Hard Rock Cafe outside of the mall is nice as well as Landries Seafood. Expensive parking. We had to wake the attendant up to be able to pay and exit. Don't waste your time.

“Mall-like atmosphere”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

It is one of the great old train stations and great opportunity for photos and some light tourist shopping. Good restaurants in the surrounding area with a Lowry's and Hard Rock Cafe. There is a lot within walking distance, so if you take a cab here you don't have to struggle with parking and can accomplish a lot more.
