We purchased the safari pass for the children's zoo mostly, and were amazed at how small it was. May be best to really research what activities you want to do prior to going before investing in pass. We could not find movie option mentioned with pass, children's zoo was NOT worth extra admission, and railroad really isn't worth riding more than once. Sections of the park are hard to find, as signs are confusing. We had a great time, but spent more than we planned for no real extra benefit. We will not purchase pass if we ever return.

Beautiful scenery, enjoyed the cool mist blown by the huge fans! Restrooms where plentiful and easily found, as well as lots of places to get a drink and snack. Not a lot of animals where visible when we were there, could have been too hot? Overall enjoyed the visit but wasn't overly impressed.

Bit of rhyme and slang for those who know.

This is an excellent zoo for the entrance fee - absolutely free. There is a lot to see here and our son wanted to go back time and time again.

See the Sea Lions and rays, definitely worth it.

This zoo is quite nice. In fact, it is one of the best zoos in the midwest. Admission is free! I recommend getting the Safari Pass to gain access to several special zoo offerings (the train, petting stingrays, children's zoo access, and 4-D theater to name some). The children's portion of the zoo is in disrepair, and could use some work. The eastern portion of the zoo is laid out like many zoos. The western portion is more modern. The elephant woods are is a must-see. It is newer, and breath-taking. They are opening a polar bear exhibit in 2015 which promises to be amazing as well. Because of the polar bear area construction you can't see the penguins/puffins exhibit. The penguin exhibit allows you to get very close to penguins when it is open. Overall, this is a really nice place to take the kids on a visit to St. Louis.
