“Great Free Attraction”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

The St. Louis Zoo is one of the better ones we have visited, and we have been to zoos all over the country. First off, there is free admission but parking in the zoo's parking lot does cost $10. If you arrive early enough, you can park for free on the street. There are attraction inside the zoo that you must pay for such as the train, petting zoo etc but the zoo itself is really more than enough to keep you busy. There is a great selection of animals to view and the grounds are beautiful. Plan to spend the bulk of a day here. Food was very good and not any higher priced than at other local attractions.

“Great zoo, especially considering admission is free”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Very nice zoo with excellent exhibits. Watched a sea lion feeding and there is a neat clear tunnel you can walk through that goes under the sea lions. The penguin ad bird (aviary) exhibits were great too. The gorillas and chimps were a hit as well. Get there before 11A and the carosel is free as well.

“It's free, tons of animals, weather is a factor!”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

A great zoo, tons of animals in a great setting. They are always making improvements too. Staff was friendly. Skip the train and other extras that cost money - the zoo is enough as is! Our fun ended a little early due to rain, there are not many indoor exhibits.

“Great zoo just remember where you parked :)”
Reviewed November 22, 2012 via mobile

The zoo was a blast! The sea lion show so entertaining and cute. If you park on the street and not in the parking lot (15$ for parking) remember your entry point. We went in on the north side and excited the out the south sidee and couldn't get back in (boo at the zoo had started) to return to the correct exit.... Took about an hour to find our car. The park is beautiful place to wonder around looking for you car :)

“One of America's better zoos!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

The new sea lion exhibit is beautifully done. The Children's Petting Zoo is extensive and nice, but an additional fee. Best visited on a good day in November when crowds are gone! Entrance to the zoo is free, but beware that snacks, the train, children's petting area and other special programs add up very quickly. They even have a Build-a-bear store on zoo property!
