“A MUST for those in STL!”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

What a gift to have something like this in St. Louis!! The Muny is an amazing outdoor theatre which usually features many actors from STL in the shows. We just saw Les Mis there and loved it. Sometimes you can even spot a raccon family walking around the stage! How fun... Great place for all ages! The new huge fans make the summer heat much more tolerable. Just make sure to dress for the weather.

“A tradition, but nothing spectacular.”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

I go to the Muny every summer for at least one show. It's a fun experience that's a tradition. However, the weather can make or break a night. In 2011 we went on the hottest day of the year and it was absolutely miserable. This year we went on a balmy evening and it was very pleasant. They have installed fans that supposedly make it cooler, but it was so nice this year during our show of Mary Poppins that they never had to turn them on. I find that the seats are too small to be comfortable. I'm a small person and I fill up the entire seat. Also, because of the way the seats are set up I have never been able to see the stage fully because of the person in front of me, so I spend the show peeking through heads. The shows are always pleasant, but not spectacular.

“The Muny in Forest Park is amazing”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We visited most everything in Forest Park including the Muny. Unfortunately there weren't any concerts when we were there, but the place itself is amazing. I'm told that there are always free seats at the rear of this outdoor auditorium, and the way the seating is positioned, there's not a bad seat in the house. The grounds around it are also fantastic, as is most all of Froest Park.

“Another Award Winning Show”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

If you haven't been to the Muny at Forest Park in St. Louis, you are missing out on an awesome experience! This was the Muny's 95th season in operation and every performance we have seen has been incredible. We had the oportunity to see West Side Story during the last week of performance in this season and it was a great experience. The sets are always designed so intricately that the illusions they create are spectacular! This season has ended but don't forget to get your seats early for next summer's productions. The only downside here is the cost of the tickets and getting out after the production--just be patient and you'll get there! If you get there really early you can sit in the free seats--just bring binoculars! The A section has great visibility but will cost you around $50 per seat depending on the production.
