The 5-1/2 hour drive to get there is worth it, it's that 5-1/2 hour drive home that's a killer. This is one of 2 restaurants in the world I'd drive that far just to eat there. The other is a BBQ joint in Chattanooga Tennessee.

My wife got the fried platter which was enough food for both of us! That's ok though because the leftovers are just as good. I had the ribeye cajun steak. It was juicy, tender and seasoned to perfection.

Ok, that's it. I'm tasting a road trip! See ya there!

First time diners here; were drawn by the reviewers comments. Didn't disappoint. The shrimp etouffee was delish, but salads did look a little on the skimp side considering the prices. We didn't order an appetizer, but our neighboring table did, and they looked good. Parking on the street is 2 hour limit and lots of "no parking" areas around here (towaway zones), so be aware.

This is a restaurant that we have frequented over the last 2 years. The owner passed away about 6 months ago, and ever since then we have noticed a change in a few things. The most disturbing, is a reduction in the portion sizes - even the salads. We still enjoy the venue, but are hoping that they don't start making changes that will affect our love of the restaurant. For one, give your customers a big salad - lettuce is cheap and not the place to start skimping. We also noticed that the onion rings are now a much smaller portion - at least a 1/3 reduction in size. What's going on? Dinner for 2 is already close to $50 - so don't tick us off by giving us a tiny salad and cutting the portions back. You'll ruin the reputation of the place - and we would hate to give it up!

We had a birthday dinner for my daughter's 16th birthday tonight. Our waitress was amazing and patient with our large group and small children. Our food delicious. We had the spinach dip, onion rings and alligator for appitizers. I had the fried platter. The crab cakes are perfect. Crunchy on the outside and.moist on the inside. Everyone had something different and we all enjoyed our food. Thank you for making a special night even more so.

If you like authentic Down South Louisiana sea food in bountiful portions at very reasonable prices, then this is the place for you!! I was concerned that when the original owner passed away, that the food quality, the service, and the atmosphere would suffer and that this delightful restaurant may just go by the wayside. Fortunately I was wrong! This place still rocks the same great food, service and atmosphere!! Will return again and again!! Love this place!!
