“Best Valentines ever”
Reviewed February 14, 2012

Always make a reservation if possible, everyone knows this place is great.. We prefer the dining room over the bar seating, only because the bar can sometimes get noisy. The food is wonderful, we went tonight and each of us had some thing different. Prime rib, filet and lobster, fried walleye and ribeye and coconut shrimp, all we're terrific. We also had the lobster rangoon, OMG, it's a must try. Sybil is alway on hand to over see things and very friendly and sweet.

“Country gem.”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

Surprisingly sophisticated atmosphere in very rural area. Not pretentious. Just friendly home ambience. Best food we have eaten out in a long time. Mahi Mahi is tender, fresh, and not a bit overcooked. Gooey butter German chocolate cake is melt in your mouth delicious. Portions not overly large and room for dessert. Reservations recommended.

“Fantastic Atmosphere and consistently great food.”

Sybill's offers the Rolla, St. James area elegant dining equal to the big city. It is a gem and not to be missed. We dine there about once a month.

“Surprising good”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

Stopped in while passing through to the Lake of the Ozarks, and decided to give it a shot since it was rated #1. We were pleasantly surprised. The whole restaurant is simply beautiful. It reminds me of Chaumette winery near my home..even the bathroom was beautiful and so clean! We ordered the lobster bisque and clam chowder, and both were full of seafood, unlike most you are served in high end establishments. The soups were not over salted either, which is hard to come by .My spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was very good, as was my husbands sloppy joe with cheese. I would never have thought to order something like that, let alone have it served to me in such a higher end restaurant, but it was great...not at all like you would expect. You just have to try it. We split an order of German chocolate gooey butter cake with ice cream and caramel sauce, and it just melts in your mouth. It was so sinful....I really would love to have dinner here some time. St. James! Who knew! It was not at all noisy when we were there either... And to the comment on it being noisy...Any place that gets crowded will get noisy..better than screaming kids seated next to you
