I wouldn't stay here again... Let me start by saying that we are typical middle class citizens who generally stay at hotels priced $70-$100/night. The night before we stayed here we stayed at a Super 8 in Troy, Missouri that was AWESOME.
This hotel in St. Charles was a bit lacking. The front desk staff was disorganized, uninformed, their shirts looked as though they hadn't been washed in a week, and it took three times longer than it should to check in. The manager on staff was very curt with us...not 'UN'friendly, just not accommodating.
Our room was dated but overall fairly clean. There was hair stuck to the tile wall in the bathroom, and the toilet paper was smoother and thinner than any paper I would try to run through my computer printer. The water pressure was poor and not as hot as I would have liked. Our evening was noisy due to a lot of movement in the hallways, slamming doors, and the sounds of our neighbor's plumbing.
The continental breakfast was average to poor. The coffee was good, everything seemed relatively fresh, but there was very little selection...just coffee, juice, cereal, frozen waffles (not even a waffle machine) and some pre-packaged cinnamon rolls that could be put in the microwave.
Overall this wasn't a "bad" stay...the beds were comfortable and the price wasn't bad with our Farm Bureau discount...but I would certainly look for somewhere different to stay the next time I'm in St. Charles...somewhere cleaner, somewhere quieter, somewhere with more competent staff.
