I had grilled salmon with mushroom risotto. The salmon was sweet with just a bit of crunch, and lovely flavor. The waitress was happy to substitute Brussels sprouts for the asparagus. My husband had jambalaya which was equally good with flavorful chorizo. The side salads were excellent. Blue cheese dressing with large chunks of cheese the way my mother made it.

Atmosphere was bustling and very loud. Our table for 9 was oddly positioned in the walkway of the main floor dining room which made it more difficult to interact with our party in addition to being bumped into while seated by passersby. Wait staff was friendly. Menu had a few interesting choices but was largely standard fare.Beer cheese soup was fantastic. Steak (salad) was far more rare than waiter explained. Over all... meh. Hardly worth the time & effort.

Tasty dinner. We were there quite early, a few minutes before 5pm, and our food was slow to arrive. But it was delicious!

This place is usually a nice spot to grab a bit and a drink. This was not the case last Sunday when visiting for my friend's wedding reception. The servers did thier best despite being left minimal instruction from the coordinator. They didn't even have enough food to feed the group of 25 despite knowing how many were coming. I ended up ordering a bunch of chicken wings from the regular menu just to supplement so everyone would have enough food. So while this may remain a decent spot for a regular eating experience I'd steer clear of the special events.

I apologize for your disappointing experience on your last visit. It is very important for us to be as transparent as possible regarding our pricing and portions, especially for special events. All of our portions are specified on our catering menu and discussed in detail when booking parties. After investigating your experience, I believe we prepared the amount of food specified for the appetizers discussed. We always leave the option for our guests to order more food if those appetizers run out. We will definitely look into our catering menu to make sure our options are fairly portioned and competitive. Thank you for your feed back.

This was the MOST unfortunate experience we have ever had, & it was at the expense of my 49th birthday. We had tickets for a show so we scheduled an early dinner, at which time Quintessential was not "busy" as there were 4 empty tables around us. To start, our beer cheese soup was served downright cold. We sent it back and they brought back such a steaming hot bowl that you could see the steam rising up from across the table, so we guessed that it was over-microwaved. Also, we had to ask twice for salt & pepper after our salads, soup and appetizers were brought to our table. For refills on drinks, we had to stop and ask other servers passing by for more tea or water- And the worst part about all of this was that our waitress was training a new server. Hopefully the trainee learned that night, what "not" to do. After finishing our salad, soup, and appetizers- We waited a good 25 minutes on our main entrees, and had to wave down our waitress again to ask how much longer it would be? Our entrees were finally delivered to our table by other servers or staff, but my birthday dinner was wrong! We again waved down our waitress to let her know that I had ordered the rib eye, but was given a filet, & unbelievably she responded, "No, you ordered the filet". Finally, to top off this terrible experience, one of our entrees had a sharp, broken piece of hard plastic in it! That was the final straw & we waved down our waitress again & asked to speak with the manager. AGAIN, we waited. After 10 minutes, we found our waitress at the bar & it was obvious she never went to get the manager-She just thought we'd leave! We were very excited about trying this place & were hoping for a wonderful dinner celebration with family. Unfortunately, it was hardly pleasant-especially after the "assistant manager" tried to reason that our poor service was because they were "really busy". For great service & fine food, GO ELSEWHERE! Do NOT let the name of this establishment fool you.
