“Great day of shopping and lunch.”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

My daughter and I had a great lunch at Lewis & Clarks. We loved shopping at the various boutique style shops. The historic atmosphere is so different and fun!

“Variety and High Quality Describe St. Charles Historic Blocks”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

From a Spice Shop with a 33-year history of quality dips, teas, blends, herbs, and kitschy tea pots to a chocolate-covered apple-smoked bacon from a fine chocolatier, you'll find high quality, varied shops along the historic district. Walk along, stroll inside, choose a salon or an unusual piece of clothing, sit and savor the weather and sights, or sip good coffee. Browse fascinating titles in a good book store and search antique and collectible shops for the find that completes your decor back home. Everyone will find shops to appeal to their tastes, and many will relax by tasting wines in the tasting rooms available.

“Old Town St. Charles, MO”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Quaint shops, good eating places, and educational too! River walk is very pretty and a fun place to relax. Be prepared for lots of walking on cobblestone streets and sidewalks. We love going down for the festivals, especially during the holidays when carolers and costume characters walk the streets and interact with visitors.

“Nice restaurants and shopping, but do NOT follow the map here.”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

We had lots of fun once we finally arrived here. The map that you click on from this site takes you out in the middle of nowhere to another Main Street with corn fields and silos. Thought we were taking a back way into the historic St. Charles. Scary motorcycle guy pulled up as we pulled into a driveway to turn around. Lost over an hour of time. Really nice shops, and we luckily found a few open past 5pm.
