Loved this little street, old brick and beautiful old buildings that house many shops, bars and restaurants. Very friendly shop owners and quaint little shops. We ate at Mother-in-Laws for lunch. Great food and service, housed in an old duplex where the mother-in-law lived in front hence the name. Had a great day, will definitely return.

I LOOOOOOVE walking around on Main Street in St. Charles! I live close by and it makes me SO HAPPY every time I go down there because it feels like you are whisked back to another time. The shop owners are all so nice and the stores are all very quaint. Lots of good restaurants, too! My favorites are Bradden's, Eros (the newish Greek restaurant), and Hendrick's BBQ.

There are a lot of shops for antiques and unique items. There is a nice ice cream shop, a little candy shop-bakery. We enjoyed both. There are restaurants which we didn't get into. The riverfront behind the stores has some pretty areas. There is one shop that the owner isn't very friendly about what things come in to town.

This is an amazing place. Old buildings have been preserved and are still being used as stores, restaurants, and bars. Many eating and drinking establishments have back decks where you can enjoy food and drink while watching the Missouri River roll by. There is so much charm and history in this area you almost expect to see Lewis & Clark walking down the cobble-stone streets preparing to leave on their journey of discovery to explore the vast Western territories Thomas Jefferson acquired with the Louisiana Purchase from France.
