My husband and I stayed once again at this wonderful B&B. We chose to celebrate our 29th anniversary there. Mike and Lisa are great! We stayed in the Schoolmarm. What a comfortable bed! We love it here!

For the 2nd year in a row we have spent the night in the Schoolhouse B & B in Rocheport to celebrate my husband's birthday....this year was as wonderful as last years. Beautiful room, very clean and very nicely decorated....king sized bed and pillows made for a wonderful night's sleep. 4 berry french toast was on the menu for breakfast and was very tasty. Yummy cookies, iced tea and fruit upon our arrival was very welcome. Will defintely return.

A stay in the Schoolhouse Bed & Breakfast in Rocheport every summer is an enjoyable must do for me! The building, grounds, and rooms are always impeccably maintained and clean and the hospitality by the hosts, Mike & Lisa, is second to none. And the breakfasts-fantastic! I've been traveling to Missouri every summer for a solo vacation for the past few years and ALWAYS stay at the Schoolhouse. They can't be beat! Try this one out when you're in the Rocheport area. You won't be disappointed.
Rooms-spotless (and I'm very particular)
Breakfast-delicious & plentiful
Secure bike storage building on site
Hospitality-like an annual visit with old friends, but not too intrusive

Room Tip: Many of their rooms have jetted tubs. VERY nice to have after a day of biking on the KATY trail.

This was the fourth stay my wife and I have had at Schoolhouse. The place is top notch, with the best breakfasts you can imagiine. Rocheport is a refreshing step back in time, a collection of great small buildings now occupied by friendly, enterprising very 21st century people, all within a short walk of Schoolhouse.

I have stayed at the School House B&B three times--with my husband and another couple, and for a couple of big women's weekends.

The building is beautiful, the room decor is tasteful and classy, every inch of the rooms, halls, stairs, etc. are immaculate, there are numerous amenities (a refrigerator for guest use,a cool water dispenser, wine for sale, etc.) the beds are really comfortable, the linens are luxury, the breakfast is large and good, and Mike and Lisa are pleasant, efficient hosts. Clearly, I love the place and will return when I can.

The small town of Rocheport has a number of interesting antique and gift stores and two fine restaurants--Abigail's which is a five minute stroll from the B&B and Le Bourgeois, a short five minute drive from the B&B. The entire town sits on the edge of the MKT walking/biking trail.

School House is a great place for a "get away," for a nice stay "en route," and for small gatherings.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet, and all but one have wonderful natural light through 6 foot windows and nic...

This weekend experience had all the ingredients of a great one...
The Schoolhouse should be especially appreciated by educators--so fun to imagine what it was like when the students were roaming the halls! What it is like now is such a great way to preserve history--it's lovely! Every room has its own personality, but each one is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The town shops are great, there are two fantastic restaurants--Abigails and The Bistro-- that are musts to try. The KATY trail is just right for our biking needs. We can't wait to see what it looks like in the fall. Thank you, Mike and Lisa for your hospitality, great food and attention to detail!

My Dad and I stayed in the Dormitory at the School House for a second time while traveling the Katy Trail. This is, by far, the best B&B along the trail. The dormitory is comfortable and beautifully restored, and makes for a perfect oasis along the trail. Mike & Lisa have gone above-and-beyond for us, taking care of special needs we had. We will stay here, for sure, again.
