This town and trail is fantastic to ride your bikes. My wife and I rode 20 miles on our moutain bikes. The town is beautiful and people were friendly as well . The trail is great and the views of the bluffs are awe inspiring....take a day and go for a ride!

“A wonderful step back in time”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

Food, sights, history, and the Katy Trail. You can rent a bike and take a leisurely ride on your own bike or one built for 2. The wineries offered good wine, good food and wonderful view of the Missouri River

“Coolest tunnel around... no pun intended”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

A very well-preserved small town with it's riverport days behind it, Rocheport thrives as it once did with the KATY Railroad. Now in it's current rendition as the KATY Trail State Park, the town plays host to small groups on the weekend as they escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Take a walk on the trail, ride a bike, or simply sip some wine at the winery.

“Quaint little town”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

We have been here several times while riding the Katy Trail. The trail in this area goes through a cool tunnel on one end of town, and right along the Missouri River on the other side of town, making it a very scenic stretch. One time we rented bikes, and we have eaten at Abigail's and at the little restaurant at the trailhead. They have lots of bed and breakfasts, and little shops. This year we happened to be in town for the First Friday event, where the shops stayed open late and had various demonstrations going on. It was fun to walk around and see the artists. Be sure to go up to Les Bourgeois winery and enjoy the A-Frame picnic area overlooking the river. You could easily spend a weekend in this area.

“Love the trail!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We had a great time walking the trail and playing at the tiny town park along side the park. Next time we will bring our bikes. I would recommend you pack a picnic, eateries in this charming little town are limited and kind of expensive.
