This is a one of a kind resort. They have not missed a single detail at this place. Beautifully landscaped, great food, tons of activities for all ages and amazing views. We have stayed there two times and rented a cabin each time. I would highly recommed this place and cannot wait to go back!

Big Cedar is an excellent place to hold a meeting or an event. Their convention services team (especially Courtney) is fantastic, well organized and makes life easy for meeting planners! Atmosphere and food, excellent quality. Here is what needs to improve: the walls are very thin in the lodges. You can hear even quiet conversation from your neighbor. On another occasion, I stayed in one of the cabins, this really is the best way to go! The guest rooms are definitely not meant for people to work in, in addition to being very dark, there are no desks to work on. If you love Rod Stewart, plan on eating at the Worman house- (great ambiance and incredible view of Table Rock Lake) the only issue is the entertainer is good for a song or 2 but not all dinner long with the same sounding music! I hope the next time we do a meeting here, they add a sound barrier in the guest rooms-more insulation? And improve the lighting.

Everything is A+++ with three provisos: (1) the Worman restaurant is not very good -well, poor actually--and is overpriced, but the other eating places are fine. (2) The powers that be have been announcing the reopening of the golf course for at least seven years; do not hold your breath on this matter. (3) I had a wicked fall at the marina; the area near the gaspumps is chock full of things to trip on, so beware and look carefully where you are treading!

Room Tip: Book as early as you possibly can, and get something away from the elevators.

My sister and I had the opportunity to take our elderly mother on a short vacation, with the Big Cedar Resort our destination. When we arrived, mother wouldn't get out of the car because she felt the adorable cabin was too isolated. When we explained the situation to the staff, they promptly relocated us, and even checked with us later to make sure our second accommodation was satisfactory to all! Our balcony overlooked the lake and everyone was happy. What a relief! Big Cedar saved the day and we loved it!

Room Tip: Views are not guaranteed, but at least you have a better chance of one by choosing a higher floor.

Log cabins, lodge, restaurants, horseback, boats, and of course the spa. Huge acreage of fun. Further up the road is a canyon with all kinds of natural flowers, birds, and animals.
