We had a fabulous dinner at the Worman House last night, perfect from start to finish. The grounds of the lodge are beautifully landscaped, and we walked them before and after dinner.
The restaurant is in a charming old house - my only complaint is that the decor is a little tired, and there are lots of animal heads hanging on the walls (which I suppose is in character with a lodge setting)
There is a beautiful view out of the windows to the lake, so ask for a table close to the windows if one is available. The waitstaff was very attentive without hovering. We had the trout almandine, and I think it was the best I've ever had! We fell in love with their seeded flatbread, and were happy we decided to splurge on the gooey butter cake for dessert. It comes with a small scoop of homemade salted caramel ice cream that set off the sweet buttery cake perfectly. I highly recommend walking the grounds and finding a bench to sit and watch the sunset- it was a wonderful way to finish off a lovely evening.
