“Amazing Hosts and Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2010

My husband and I visited Les Lavandes for a quick getaway, and Myrta and Richard were so accomodating! The high tea served upon arrival was decadent, and the room was simple and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub outside, and especially loved all of the touches of lavender throughout. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts make you feel like part of the family.

Peaceful, spotless, warm, inviting, pastoral, hospitable. Delicious European pastries and truffles. Myrta and Richard each have their own specialties in the kitchen. (Don't leave without the best bargain...Myrta's cookbook for only $10). They both strive to please their guests, and are successful in achieving their goal. We didn't realize how much stress we were both (my husband and I) carrying until we woke refreshed and relaxed after one night's stay. We look forward to a return visit.

When we booked our stay, we were hoping for a relaxing weekend. But what we got was so much more: Richard and Myrta are incredibly hospitable. They cater to every detail and make you feel as if you just spent a weekend with wonderful friends! Myrta's cooking will blow you away and her little Swiss touches make the entire experience so charming. This is a revitalizing and relaxing experience that we hope to return to again and again!

This weekend stay was a gift from our daughter and we can say she truly outdid herself. Richard & Myrta are beautiful, well traveled hosts that made their home ours! The desserts Myrta made for high tea were amazing and Richard's breakfasts were awesome! We have already made arrangements to go back for Maifest 2011!! Thank you so much Richard & Myrta for making our stay memorable!

This lovely B&B is set in the rolling hills outside of Herman. It was so pleasant in Apr to just sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Loved hearing and seeing all the birds and viewing the gardens. Though the large garden of lavenders were not blooming yet, I can only imagine how wonderful they would look and smell. Our host , Myrta, uses the lavender in many of her recipes. We had a traditional cheese fondue for dinner and it was the "real deal" as Myrta is Swiss and it was delicous. I would definitely return. My husband needs a getaway, and this place would be perfect.

I thought we were going to a sleepy small town outside Herman Mo. Off the rat race of the city we found paradise in the hills of Missouri. It is green lush full of gardens, hills and hiking for people who want to stay active. After we got to the B&B we had what Myrta called High -Tea she has pastries out of this world that she made herself. Then we were offered a romantic dinner on her outside porch that overlooks magnificent hills and dales. The night would not be complete without a hot tub to relax our muscles for a great nights sleep. During the day we are close to all the wonderful wineries that Hermann has to offer and it was a completely wonderful reviving weekend. Her food is better than any restaurant you can go to within 25 miles..What a treasure..We will make it an annual trip. Her prices are so great for all the amenities that you get in the bedrooms .Thanks Myrta and Richard. We can,t wait to come back.

This was a last minute surprise for my mother for Mother's Day. We had dinner which was 1st class. Our room was quiet and spotless. Myrta and Richard made it all a wonderful memory for my mother and I can't thank them enough. We will be returning December 3-4 and can't wait. You must go stay at Les Lavandes........You will return over and over again as we will.
