About 10 years, or so ago. The highway bypassed Reeds Spring, & the town, & the business suffered.

I don't know exacitly how long they've been there 25-30 years. If they didn't have a very good reputation, & good word of mouth, they'd be long gone.

This is a family owned, & run, resturant, & it's still in the same family. So it stays pretty consistant.

Last time we were there, we both had the full rack of Baby Back Ribs. We could have split a rack & had plenty but we wanted to take the rest home for the next day. Yes they're that good.

Last time we were there, was a Friday evening, peak dinner hour, & it was pretty crowded, but they have plenty of seating, so we got right in. Despite the crowd, our service was exceptional.

If you order a Margureta, be prepaired for two, or share, because they bring it in a generous glass, then what wouldn't fit the glass comes in a water glass, on the side.

Their large Greek Salad, with an appatizer side, the stuffed grape leaves, are a good choice. Is a satisfying meal.

It's not a cheap place, but the value is there.

Papouli's is in a cute blue house, divided into 3 dining areas, and they've got it fixed up very comfortable. First time we were there they had a party of 30 and one waitress that was taking care of them and the rest of the full house, she didn't miss a beat and never got flustered. We had to wait a while for our food because the little kitchen can only put out so much at a time but it was a fun wait. They serve alcohol and I saw several people ordering Bloody Mary's and Margaritas and they looked awfully good. We've only been to the Sunday lunch, the menu for that is handwritten on a notecard with 8 or 10 choices and 2 of the items are Greek dishes (the regular menu is much more extensive): Moussaka, which is made with eggplant, and pastitsio, which is noodles and ground beef. I prefer the pastitsio, my husband prefers the moussaka. The Sunday lunches are very reasonably priced, I think it was in the $10 to $13 range. They get packed so be prepared to wait or go early to miss the after church crowd.

We live close to Papouli's but had never been there. Seems it just never worked out until we wanted something different for husbands birthday. We had a wonderful time and like other posts were treated like family. Ask to be seated by the windows in the dinning room and watch the birds at feeders and squirrels playing in a VERY decorated small fenced area. Watch out for the margarita (hey, what can I say) doesn't really go with Greek food but WOW. Our server was Michaela and she was truly great. Explained the different food, made suggestions and made us laugh. OK so the food was maybe not great but we all enjoyed our meals. Yes the greenbeans are out of a can with some Greek seasoning but everything else seemed like the real deal. It was my husbands birthday and they surprised us with desert for everyone which we were not expecting. Would we go back? The answer is yes just because we enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was so gracious to us and wanted us to have a good time.
