“The nicest place we have stayed.”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

We were invited to go to the Keeter Center for the first time last year.It is the place we compare all of our other stays by.We travel in Okla,Ark and Mo.The moment you arrive in the parking lot there is just a whole different atmosphere than anywhere we have stayed. The staff is so effecient, kind and hard working to make sure your stay is all that you want and more. The turn down service with their own dairy milk and gourmet choc chip cookies is such a treat. The Dining Hall is spacious and the wait staff is very efficient, knowledgable, and helpful.I especially enjoy the music in the Hall during the weekend, and the special requests they play for us...If you have never visited here you should...it wil not be your last time I assure you....Thank you Keeter Center for a job well done.

Room Tip: The third floor is our favorite. And we like the way they have the fridge filled with water and soda...

We spent one night in a loft suite at the Keeter Center, and my husband's comment was, "I can't find a thing wrong with this place!" EVERYTHING made us feel we were staying at a five star hotel. The suite was very large; it was impeccably clean, and the decor was warm and inviting.

The lodge's lobby was also a great for relaxing. You could easily cuddle up with a god book, or sit and visit for hours. Then the best is when you go back up to your room in he evening. The beds are turned down, and the most fabulous cookies are awaiting you with fresh milk from their dairy.

There is no doubt in my mind we will be back, only maybe for a couple more nights. And, don't forget to eat at Dobyns for a meal or two also. You will be glad you did.

My wife and I stayed for two nights enjoying the ambience of the Keeter center. The staff are all students and, to a person, courteous, friendly and helpful. The lodge is spotless, rooms well-appointed with abundant fluffy clean towels, jacuzzi and a shower. Complimentary continental breakfast is a nice touch with a fridge and microwave in the spacious room. A balcony overlooks a pastoral setting with cows herded in every night. Great value in a Christian atmosphere. Totally recommend it. It would be good if they had a fitness center.

Located on the campus of the College of the Ozarks, the Keeter Center is a magnificent lodge with a small shop, a beautiful lobby, a museum inside, and excellent fine dining at Dobyns in the lodge. Beautiful rooms for a couple or for a family of 6 upstairs offer a room with a view of hte Ozarks. Rooms come with package deals to include tickets to a Branson or area activity. Go to keetercenter.edu for a glimpse of the best way to see the Ozarks and the Branson, MO area. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: A friend recommended the restaurant and it was out of this world...The lodge took my breath away so...

We stayed in a loft suite over a long weekend and had an amazing time. The hotel is located on the College of the Ozarks grounds. Staff includes college students who are earning money and interning to learn the hospitality business. Before getting to the lodge, I was unsure of what to expect, but the service, the grounds, and the room were comparable to a 4.5 to 5 star luxury resort. The staff was always warm and friendly, learned our names, and bent over backwards to make us feel at home and taken care of. We were brought warm cookies from the bakery and fresh milk from the dairy (located right on the college grounds) at night! The restaurant was also excellent - they have a fantastic Sunday brunch! My family have now made the Keeter Center our ONLY place to stay on a visit to Branson.

We spent a long weekend in a King Loft Suite. The room was amazing. The bathroom was very large and had both a Jacuzzi tub and a great shower. The towels were fluffy, clean and replaced daily. We had a complimentary continental breakfast every morning with fresh muffins and fruit, yogurt, and juice. The room had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The room had rustic, luxury that was enhanced by a fireplace (non-working) and a balcony that looked out over the campus and the Branson strip. Returning from a day of shows or shopping, the room was a welcome distance from all the hustle and traffic that is Branson. Every night you will get a “turn down service” that includes warm cookies (usually Chocolate Chip) and fresh milk from the campus dairy.

The food at the restaurant was great. Much of the food is local to the College of the Ozarks. The service staff are students who are working their way through school and each has a wonderful story to tell and they go out of their way to make your time at the Keeter Center the best part of your day. The Sunday Brunch is a wonderful way to end your stay.

There is a gift shop where you can purchase hand crafted items, decorations, candles, and books about the Ozark area, people, and food. Also available are homemade jams, fruit cakes, and smoked meats. With their own mill on campus, they also have biscuit, pancake, muffin mixes.

Can’t wait to go back.

Room Tip: For couples, the loft is great. If you have children, the Queen rooms are on the second floor and h...

The Keeter Lodge at the College of the Ozarks has become our favorite place to stay in Branson. Located outside the busy strip but close enough to all the attractions, it offers great value and luxury. The Lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, and the suites are lavishly furnished. The restaurant in the Lodge is outstanding. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, and the homemade cookies and fresh milk from the dairy farm a nice touch. I would highly recommend this place for couples wanting a quite getaway. Furthermore, what makes the Keeter Lodge so unique, is that it is staffed by the college students. All your waiters, hotel personel and grounds keepers are young people who are trying to earn a college degree and real life skills by working for their education. I can't say enough about how impressed we were by these young adults, their work ethic, their attitudes and their professionalism. Not only will you have a wonderful stay, you will also be supporting an incredible school and some great kids. Check out the small WWar 2 exhibit , it is very touching. Take a tour of the pristine campus and visit the Mill , where you can buy flour, bisquit mix, grits, jellies and jams, all made on the premises by students. Also stop by the kitchens and get some fruitcake, yeah, you heard me! I have never liked fruitcake, but theirs is delicious! Visit the chapel , its a lovely building, and the plant nurseries, where you can purchase some neat varieties of orchids and other plants. One important note: the College of the Ozarks is a Christian school, so no alcohol is served at the restaurant and no alcohol is allowed in the rooms. Whether you like that rule or not, please respect it.
I would highly recommend the Father's Day and Mother's Day brunches. Cheaper than other fancy places in town, but don't let that concern you. The food is delicious, the variety is excellent, the decor is beautiful and the service outstanding. I only wish there were many more colleges in our country that offered what this place does.
