I stayed here for a workshop. The Disaster Oasis was set up to serve as a training centre on disasters as well as an evacuation shelter. The buildings are supposed to be disaster resistant. This is therefore not your typical hotel. The rooms come in clusters with shared bathrooms - sometimes 1 bathroom between two rooms, or more to one bathroom, depending on the price. I was in a two room - one bathroom bungalow. The rooms are large and bright, but the furnishings are sparse - no bedside lamp, chair, aircon or fan. There was no toilet paper until we asked for it, though they did provide towels and soap and cleaned the room daily. There are no mosquito screens so if you open windows for ventilation you might get insects.
The best thing is the nice setting. The bungalows are in clusters and the garden is nicely landscaped. However it is in the middle of nowhere - which means it's peaceful but there's not much to do in your spare time. About 30 minutes drive from Jodjakarta city.More
