Description: This is your friendly neighborhood bbq joint. We specialize in great comfort food (think hickory smoked meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy). Wobbly Boots has been praised by Southern Living, Golf Magzine, Lake Lifestyles, and the KC Star. Barbecue is the staple but the burgers, wings and soups are also fantastic.

A friend and I went to the new Wobbly Boots a few weeks ago. It was just after they had moved into the new building and in the middle of the week, just after the tourist season ended and we had just a short wait, and they have a waiting area outdoors and will text you when your table is ready. We had bbq'd brisket sandwiches and I had the onion rings, my friend had the mac and cheese. Were not disappointed with anything. Service is ok, food good. We'll be back. Love the new building and they did a great job of remodeling the inside. Was pleasantly surprised.

We went to Wobbly Boots on a Monday evening - not one of the busiest nights of the week. We called in advance to check on wait times, etc. We checked in when we arrived, and then had to wait an hour and a half for service. We had asked if we could get the potato soup without the crumbled bacon, and were assured that would be no problem. When our food FINALLY arrived, the soup had bacon in it, and everything was cold. I don't mean lukewarm; I mean cold. The "seasoned curly fries" were not seasoned with anything other than air, and were cold and soggy. The brisket was delicious, but cold. When the manager was informed, he did nothing. He neither sent new food, nor adjusted the bill. Customer service, what's that? They certainly can't demonstrate it at Wobbly Boots. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Wobbly Boots has moved to a new location, next door to the old one. The atmosphere is fun, with friendly service people and delicious food. Their meats are smoked in a huge wood smoker behind the building, and everything is done to perfection. Entertainment occurs during the week, and on weekends. The patio area is a new addition, along with the room with the big fireplace. The best place at the lake!

Our experience here included some great and some not so good. Our server was new and needed some better training. The evening began with a large amount of beer being spilt on my friend who was sitting next to me. This was done as the server was placing a beer in front of another person at our table. This can happen and is not that big of a deal but the way that the server reacted after realizing the spill was what bothered me.

There was a half hearted apology and no offer to bring a cloth to mop up. After being shown the fairly wet floor and the wet back of the chair our server did bring cloths to mop up.

There was no return of our server prior to happy hour ending and when we were able to gain her attention, it was too late to order.

The onion rings were GREAT! Everyone loved them. The majority of us felt that the sandwiches we order were also excellent. We had pulled pork and breaded pork tenderloin to name two. The sweet potato fries were lukewarm although still crispy and flavorful.

When we walked in we were immediately seated and when we left there was a 20 minute wait for a table. Good food, good atmosphere and fair service.
