I am a business traveler and have spent 6 of the past 14 nights in a hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn is usually set in a corporate area as is caters to the business traveler. This is also the case with the O Fallon location. The hotel itself is clean, well lit, comfortable and attractive. The front desk personnel are very pleasant. I enjoyed meeting Melissa and she was very helpful. I asked to be placed at the end of the hall so my room would be away from elevators and noise. My first night was fine. The second night, I was joined by a family that had booked 3 rooms. They were in and out of each of the rooms, with the door locks propped open ( to avoid using a key) and thus creating a constant BANG, not to mention hollering across the hall. The children were running, crying and squeeling in the halls. DO FOLKS LEAVE THEIR MANNERS AT HOME??? The room is theres but the hallway belongs to everyone. I asked the mother
( 50 ish) to please quiet the others down as I wanted to go to sleep. She looked at me like I had asked her to paint the hallway purple. I called Melissa and she kindly came up to explain that everyone had a right to be comfortable in the hotel, as we were all paying to stay there. I guess the others thought it would be fine to be noisy on a Saturday night as it was only 9:00 p.m. Whatever...you cannot watch TV, read or rest when there is a HULLABLOO going on right outside your door. It is my understanding that when hotels cater to business clients, they need to accomodate the needs of these clients as this is their bread and butter. Thankfully, this is held up by the staff and thus the family did quiet down after being asked.
I would recommend this hotel and stay there again as the facilityy was lovely. The upscale restaurant that is adjacent is wonderful and they have coupons at the front desk. I have always found the Hilton Garden Inn to be a pleasant stay and this was no exception!

Front desk staff has obviously had turnover since the other writer's review in 2004. Staff was very unfriendly and rude. Especially to children. In the morning, the coffee pots were ALWAYS empty. There were pieces of cheap paper EVERYWHERE posted in the strangest places how kids must always be accompanied by an adult. The rooms were nice and clean, but the staff was the problem. I wouldn't stay here again with children.

I spent four nights at the O'Fallon Hilton Garden Inn and was very impressed. The room was very spacious, clean, and very well maintained.
Someone was really thinking when they built it, because it had a lot of little touches that were nice. Every staff member was friendlier and more helpful than the next: I asked if there was a pharmacy nearby, and they printed out directions; I asked where something very close was, and they walked out the door with me to point it out. Room service was excellent and reasonably priced, too. The only problem was the restaurant in the morning. It was hard to find a clean place to sit, the coffee urns were empty twice (out of four days) and I had to ask for the bill to be fixed twice. But this was a minor problem and I would definately stay at this hotel again.
