A/C didn't work. Had to request room change at midnight! Dirty room. Trash in trash cans in both of our "clean rooms". Someone else's room and drink left in our refrigerator. NOTHING in fitness room worked. No a/c in breakfast area and everyone sweating during breakfast. Key card did not work every time I left the building and returned; it had to be reset and the front desk clerk did not even ask for ID, etc to reset the key to the room that I requested!

Staff was very courteous and the free breakfast was good but that's about where the good stuff stops. The exterior entry door we wanted to use did not have a knob or handle--it was missing. It could be opened from the inside only. It was a very noisy hotel with doors slamming and hallway voices and yells easily heard in the room. The outside base of the toilet bowl was very dirty. The rooms were smaller than usual. Read in another review that this used to be a Baymont Inn so maybe that accounts for the small rooms. When checking out I mentioned the above to the desk clerk and he apologized and gave us the night for free.

It was very inexpensive for a Hotel. We were nervous and pleasantly suprised. Clean and friendly service. About 10 mins from Downtown.

My family and I planned on staying 4 nights here while we were in Kansas City on vacation. I seemed like since it was just north of downtown it would be a good central location to stay. We arrived around 2a.m. on the first night and went right to bed. The room (Executive King) was a decent size and was fairly clean but the air conditioner was turned off when we arrived and it took all night for the room to cool off. When we got up the next morning we found that the breakfast choices were limited to about 4 bread items and 1 cereal choice, nothing my kids could eat. While we were getting ready for the day I asked the housekeeper on our floor for some additional towels and she wouldn't give any up until I gave her my other ones. That was a little frustrating to say the least. We ended up checking out and went somewhere else. Overall, the hotel is located in an industrial area of the city and is in decent shape for someone who is just staying overnight or will litterally only be sleeping there. The front desk staff was nice and accomodating but it just wasen't the best property for our family.
