“Lovely house in a lovely location.”

Stayed here in August for a week with hubby, two teens & a dog. We chose the location as it was very rural but within walking distance to a small cove and the coastal path. Make sure that you take a few essentials to tide you over as its a good drive to the nearest supermarkets. However saying that the cottage was one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. Tea, coffee & sugar various herbs, oils, ketchup along with tin foil, cling film were in the cupboard. All small appliances were best quality. My daughter even baked a few cakes in the lovely aga, as there were some baking trays. The kitchen did get quite warm and we had to have doors and windows open for cool air. It was great to have two lounges for a bit of space, 1 with a tv and log fire. Nice utility room with washing machine & dryer was useful for boots etc. There is also a high chair and I think the might have been a stair gate. Spacious bedrooms upstairs and modern clean bathrooms. There did seem to be an issue with woodlice which maybe should be looked at and I'm sure it will!
The outside space was great and the sea can be seen from the garden. There is also a shed which had a few body boards which went down well! There were plenty of leaflets provided for the local attractions etc, we booked a coasteering trip.
We had a really chilled out time at Crug Y Felin, with everything provided for and would definitely recommend a stay for the whole family.

“Stunning cottage in great location”

Stayed here for a week this September and what a place this is. The cottage is stunning and very large perfect for a large family. There was only two of us so we just kept most of the rooms closed. The kitchen looks very new and there is everything in there you could want and the owners left us home made welsh cakes which were yummy. There was even hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine capsules which meant we did not have to use our own and they also provided towels. I loved the Aga as the heat was amazing but we did find it hot and had to keep the door open as we had a whole week of sun, yes sun in Britain in September. The bathroom was also new, expect to have a long shower as the water pressure was not great but this was fine for us. Loved the two living rooms and the floorboards, but I still wonder why cream carpets are put in dog friendly accommodation ??. We had a pup seal born in the cove the day we got there so we could not go on the pebble beach with our dog but this was not a problem as went on the coast path instead. The driveway unto the cottage is very steep but this just keeps you fit. The garden was excellent as was totally enclosed and we could let our springer spaniel play to his hearts content. I would 100% recommend this cottage to everyone, it is easy to miss it if you drive in from Moylgrove as the sign faces the coast just look out for the cream steep driveway. We will definitely be back n a few years.

“Wonderful Crug Y Felin”

We have stayed at this property at least four times and absolutely love it. We had never been to Wales before staying here and have discovered a beautiful part of the country. The cottage is just so gorgeous; it's comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished, amazing views - we cannot fault it. The Aga is a lovely feature in the kitchen, so warm and homely. The two sitting rooms make it great if you're there with say older children or a couple of families where the adults can sit and chat or relax in one room and the children can watch tv or play games in the other. The outside space is lovely. Having tea on the rear patio in the sun with the view of the sea, or coffee on the front seating area late morning, it's just amazing. So much to see and do nearby (that's why we keep returning). Lovely sandy beaches within ten minute drive, not forgetting the fabulous Ceibwr Bay (shingle) just a short walk away, gorgeous walks from the cottage, stunning views, lovely restaurants in Newport. there's too much to list really. We, as a family, love it and can't wait to return... it's been too long....
