“Chicken Fried Goodness”
Reviewed March 9, 2012

The Red Barn has become a regular stop for my family on trips between Tulsa and St. Louis. The chicken friend steak is great, as is the K. C. strip. While you'll be stuffed from dinner, you'll want to take a slice of pie or cake with you. Yum.

“Awful Horrible Service!!! Food was Okay! Atmosphere is cute - too bad!”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

Our waitress acted like we were a major inconvenience from the moment we walked in! She was rude and extremely inattentive - absolutely in the WRONG industry!!! We had the breakfast buffet, and it was just okay, but they were out of pancakes, and though we asked several times, they never came up ... how long does it take to make pancakes???? The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cute & it could be a great family restaurant, but the chairs and booths are WAY worn out and uncomfortable!! Too bad - we were looking for a good breakfast cafe a little closer to home, but will not be going here again!!!!

“Good home-cooked food & lots of it.”
Reviewed February 1, 2012

We have to drive several miles but it's our destination diner. The chicken-fried steak & pork tenderloins are huge & so tender; the catfish is excellent. Wonderful homemade rolls & bread. Monday special is always fried chicken; Tuesday evening is Mexican buffet; Friday is always catfish. Hamburgers and sandwiches, sweet potato fries are so good. And who can resist their homemade bakery goods; huge cinnamon rolls, cakes, cupcakes, pies. The fresh strawberry pie in the Summer is the best!

“Will never go here again!”
Reviewed October 4, 2011

We arrived about 6 pm on Saturday, October 2. It was very busy but we were seated fairly quickly and our orders were taken and drinks arrived. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. We checked on our order several times and were told it was just coming up. It wasn't. One person had hot roast beef sandwich which was served almost cold. The rest of us had steaks. Our biggest issue was that every single person that came in after us was served, and it finally occurred to us they were ordering food that was already prepared and ready to serve. Two other families on either side of us also ordered steaks and did not get served. We finally received our meals after waiting an hour and a half. When it finally arrived the steaks were delicious. The management was very insensitive to our complaint and acted like they were doing us a favor by even serving us at all. When we left around 8:30 the other two families had not yet been served. There were 6 of us and we were very disappointed.
