Went to Monetti's with high expectations and won't be back. While the food was ok, they ran out of chicken, the spaghetti carbonara was missing the egg & was made with Fettucine noodles and the Fettucine Alfredo was only decent. The owner was busy talking up a booth of four yuppies meanwhile ours and the table next to us waited 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. The excuse 'everything is made to order so it takes longer' is a lame excuse, besides it doesn't take 45 minutes to whip up carbonara or Alfredo sauce! Even I can make fresh pasta in 15 minutes. What was aggregating was neither the waitress or owner (who was talking up the booth across from us 80% of the time) ever apologized and while the waitress for the other tables brought out the desert tray ours didn't; as though she couldn't wait to get rid of us. And someone needs to teach that waitress how to count back change. Have we become such a plastic society that paying with cash gives them a deer in the head-like look? This place needs to either improve the kitchen and waitstaff AND teach the owner that yuppies aren't the only ones with money to spend (ie: treat everyone decently and equally) or I don't give them 6 months. I'll be warning my friends to avoid this place and either go to Garozzo's or Salvatore's. Because this place doesn't even begin to come close.
