As soon as we got in April helped us out, she was very nice and made sure we were taken care of. She told us about the bar behind the hotel which had a nice charm to it and really inexpensive drinks, decent food and a cool bartender. The front desk had amenities such as toothpaste and lotion for free had you forgotten yours. We were told this location has new owners and its still being renovated due to neglect from the previous owners. The front desk service was EXCELLENT! We only stayed one day but if we ever find ourselves in this part of town again we will definitely choose this place over the other hotels in the area.

Stopped here because of coupon and found the motel to be old and in less then great shape. Bathroom was well used and has not be brought up date. Had trouble finding plugins without unpluging room clock.

July 21-24, 2012 Hanover Park, IL. Not the Ritz Hotel but not bad for the money. We were on our way home from a weeks stay at a resort in Arkansas when our vechicle had a failure. We had to find a motel that accepted pets & the Days Inn did for $10.00 a day more. We were hot & exhausted so we didn't check out any other motels in the area. The young lady at the desk was very friendly. We asked for a 1st floor room & was given that. Only certain rooms are for pets. When we got to our room it smelled like smoke so we went back to the check in counter & asked for another room. The manager showed us several rooms. He was very accomodating.
We picked a room that smelled good. The air was on & the room was very cool. It had a refridgerator & appeared clean. The room was small for the 3 of us. We asked for a rollaway & they brought one. My son complained that it was not comfortable. It looked old. However the double beds were comfortable & looked clean. The bathroom was ok but it could have used a new toilet seat because it was worn. We liked that they had a continental breakfast. There wasn't much of a selection but the waffles that you cooked yourself were very good. I wished that they had sugar free surup and/or a light surup. We prefer less sugar. The dining area was in the front foyer which wasn't very cozy. The pool could have been cleaner. The water was cloudy & some of the concrete was breaking up in it. We went to the "restaurant" on the premises. It was a bar & grill. The menu was very limited but the burgers were good. We choose to eat in our room
because the place reeked of cig. smoke. They brought our food to our room when it was ready.
We had a room across from the truck stop but didn't hear any noise with the air on.
All & all it wasn't a bad place for the money. Rates were reasonable. It's fine for a day or two passing through town but I wouldn't want to stay a week. Kathy R.
It's an ok of a motel if you're passing through town for a day or two & just need a basic motel.

Room Tip: Remember to ask for a non smoking room if that's what you want. Ask for 1st floor if you don...

Made reservations through Wyndham website. In order to give me the non-smoking king bed room with a refrigerator that we had reserved they had to carry a refrigerator to our room, but front desk clerk on check-in was helpful,

Property was old and dated. Breakfast was poor. After looking at it we went out and paid for breakfast.

The biggest issue was the $10 pet charge that we were not told about when reserving a room at a hotel that specified that they accept pets. Wouldn't stay there again.

we would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review and apologise for the delay in responding back
we greatly appreciate all positive and negative feedback from all our guests it helps us improve and maintain standards
i would like to apologise for the information on the wyndham website - we have asked them to update the information that we accept pets in certain rooms only and there is a pet fee charged for guests that have a pet in the room
the previous management team here used to have a limited number of micro n fridges and used to charge the guest addition fee for the use of these items - we have scraped this fee and have micro n fridges in most of the rooms now
we are slowly trying to improve the property since we took over and greatly appreciate all the feed back we get
thank you

Checked in on Friday for 2 nights. Got to room and turned on air conditioner, then left to go to a store, came back and the air conditioner was turned off, unplugged and the cover was off. Called the front desk and was told that the maintenance man was working on it. He arrived while I was on the phone to the front desk and was told it was the owner. He couldn't fix it and then told the front desk to move me, so they moved me to the room next door. The next room the air conditioner worked, but I wish I could have seen the room before paying for it.
Then Saturday I left to attend one of the functions I had traveled to the town for. Returned around 4:00 in the afternoon and the room had not been made up, and no clean towels. Left to go to dinner, and left a light on because the switch to turn it on didn't work. When I returned the light had been turned off so someone had been in my room, but not for housekeeping, as the room was still unmade (at 9:00 P.M.) and still no clean towels, and my room key had been deactivated, so I made a trip to the front desk to get key reprogrammed and to get clean towels. The man said he would bring the towels to my room, I waited for him to go to the back of the building to get the towels.
Now about the room, the cleaning of this room was terrible. Please be sure and look at my pictures ! Holes in 2 walls, cobwebs everywhere in the room, cigarette butt, sunflower seeds and wrapper under the bed, stains on the walls, and the back side of the bedspread (complete with a burn hole) burn stains on the wrinkled carpet. I wore white socks (mistake for sure but better to have dirty socks than the germs on bare feet!) There were toenails and other unidentified dust bunnies and paper bits in the corners of the room and between the bedside night table and the bed. Stains on the box springs, and the shower was terrible barely any pressure and it spurted out where it wasn't supposed to, and barely lukewarm water, no plug for the sink or the tub. Not all rooms have fridges, mine didn't but the 1 person in our group that had a fridge said that it was filthy inside. Toilet had grey stains and a burn stain on the seat.
Our group (6 different rooms) was supposed to get a special reduced rate, but while I was at the front desk getting my key reprogrammed, another customer came in, he was a walk in with no reservation like our group had, and he got a lower rate than our group did !
2 of the other people in our group also stayed over Saturday night and their rooms were not cleaned or serviced.
Did I feel comfortable and safe in this room ? The answer is a resounding NO !

THIS PLACE RUINS THE NAME OF DAYS INN & I WILL NOT STAY IN ANOTHER DAYS INN

i would like to apologise for the less then satisfactory stay that you had while here
your stay was within the first few days of us taking over the property and we had walked into a major challange - staffing issues among them (no excuses)
we were fighting fires on all fronts and trying to get to grips with all the issues
which has taken time to resolve and we are still today learning about new issues daily
we are not making excuses for the less then satisfactory stay that you had and greatly appreciate all your feedback and hope to act on the issues
once again thank you for your feedback
