“Best State Park in Missouri”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

This is the most beautiful parks in the state! The fishing at Bennett is well known and alwys a log of fun, although the Trout are a bit finicky. The cabins on the state grounds are wonderful and the private owned cabins at the entrance tot he park are GREAT. Nothing over priced, you easily get more for your money than you will bargin for. Their restaurant on the grounds is fabulous....their park store has almopst everything you could ever want let alone what you probably forgot. This park is a must see for anyone that enjoys camping and fishing

“Scuba diving and trout fishing in one place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

This park covers two of my hobbies fly fishing March-October and scuba (new hobby 2012) the park limits scuba to a maximum of 6 divers per day and only 4 divers below the surface at any given time. Open water certification can only go as deep as ambient light is viable from depth. If you are tech certified or cave certified you can go deeper into the spring than the 55'-60' where surface light is still visible. During trout season the fishing is great and catch and release is also available during the off season. Water temps are always around 56 degrees. So whether your a fly fisher or a diver or just want to get back to nature give the park s try camping is available year round and for those who don't camp they have cabins and motel rooms. Great place.

“The classic trout park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Bennett Spring Park is the go to place for Mo. Trout Parks. The state stocks lots of trout and the access is really easy. This is not the place if you seek a wilderness experience, but there are a lot of fish there and it is a great place to learn how. Everyone is very friendly, and you can see lots of different skill levels there. The zones are marked clearly, and the zone 1 area is quite long. Crowds are a fact of life-it is better during the week and when school is in session. The restaurant and store in the park are very useful, and the accomadations are quite nice. The campground is a typical state park, which in Mo says alot compared to other states. All in all a great place-tell people you are going there and watch their eyes glaze over!

“Very neat gem in the SP system”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

Although it has been some time since I stayed in BSSP or fished we have visited with our son to walk the trails, view the hatchery, or admire the spring and plentiful trout swimming just below the surface.
This park is certainly a treasure of the state of Missouri.

“Family outing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

On September 7, 2012 my wife & I arrived at Bennett Springs State Park for a weekend get together with part of our kids and Grandkids.
We were pleasantly surprised with the ease of check-in and impressed with the helpfulness of the staff of the Park, and also pleased with the campsite. It was easy to set up and had all the amenities that we could ask for, plus the entire campground was neat and clean.
Around 6 pm we could see by the sky that there was a potentially nasty storm brewing. We tuned in the local radio station and found that indeed there was tornado warnings for our location.
At this time the "campground hosts" came around letting us know of the impending storm and that there was a shelter available and they would guide us to it.
Some of these "hosts" remained at the campground to make sure that every one that wanted to was guided to the shelter and stayed with us until the "all clear" was sounded.
I cannot say enough about the Campground Hosts, their professionalism and dedication to the safety of all of the campers. They were superb.
The rest of the weekend was uneventful (as we liked it to be) and peaceful. The park has all the amenities that both kids and grownups enjoy. (and we sure did)
I heartily recommend this park for both trout fishing and just plain "chillin out".
Bennett Springs State Park is a credit to our beautiful state of Missouri.
