We ventured off the highway looking for something that wasn't a chain - we found this restaurant joined with a gas station/convenience store. The decor looked good through the windows so we decided to give it a try. The service was very friendly. I ordered the burnt ends dinner and it outclassed a Travel Channel recommended restaurant's burnt ends we tried in Kansas City. The portion was large, the sides were delicious. Their several BBQ sauces were all really great. Hubby ordered a BBQ variety plate and really enjoyed it. The server said their bread pudding is the best. It WAS! Hubby is not a bread pudding fan and I almost had to stab him with the fork to get my half! If you're going past Lamar, it worth the stop!
