We read the reviews and decided we had to try it, though we were hoping for more of a view while in town for a brief weekend. We were seated a table or so away from the windows, and that was helpful. The only thing I could find on the menu that I wanted was filet, and I had bearnaise sauce added to it. It was good. They bring out a few warm rolls for you to grab out of the basket -- nice that it's not a basket full dropped off and wasted for some people. Plus they are right out of the oven. The rolls were basic dinner rolls - not 'honey' flavored or wheat or something else. The salad dressing (Mayfair) is homemade and light, tasty - not too overpowering like some Mayfair dressings can be. Service was great. Servers wear white shirt and ties - very professional. The decor is English/British - dark, with candles on the table. Very nice, older style elegance.
