“great location - kinda worn out”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The room was comfortable and fairly clean, but pretty well worn. I was a bit concerned as my room was located adjacent to the elevator shaft, but I really couldn't hear the elevator. The food was below average....even for conference food.

JeffKansas-

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time out to share your recent stay with us at The Lodge of Four Seasons. We take great pride in our product, but most of all service. I am very interested in why the conference food wasn’t good. If you like to discuss please feel free to email me at jtaylor@4seasonsresort.com. Our culinary team takes these types of comments very seriously and they are interested in knowing what was wrong. Once again, thank you for your comments and we look forward to you return visit.

Overall, I had a very great experience. I was upgraded to suite, so that was impressive. The room service was amazing. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The furniture was a little dated, but I enjoyed the rustic/outdoors atmosphere. I look forward to visiting again!

Room Tip: An update to the overall theme of the establishment would be beneficial- I love the outdoors/rustic...

Lodge of the Four Seasons is my family's top choice for a Winter getaway. It's the perfect way to rejuvenate yourself when Spring just can't get here fast enough. The rooms are always spotless and spacious. The Lanai rooms are my personal favorite. The pool area has a divider you can swim under to get outside. It's so neat swimming in a warm pool when it's snowing! However, what makes this hotel the best is the over accommodating staff. They truly go way beyond what I could ever expect. From a surprise free room upgrade, to HK's clearing a fully set table just so we could have our drinks by the window, the little extras just never end. I feel like a pampered queen. Spa Shiki being in the hotel sure doesn't hurt either!
FYI- I marked the kids activities as poor simply because this isn't a hotel for young kids. They have a theater that plays movies every night, but in general this is meant for adults.

Room Tip: Lanai is my favorite but typically isn't a lake view.

Over Valentines Day weekend we stayed at the lodge and enjoyed all the amenities. It was GREAT ! Lots to do; Spa Shiki, HK's Restaurant, Indoor pool and hot tub, hiking, golf and the list goes on. The staff is caring and very pleasant, the food is superb at HK's and the rooms are clean and spacious. Yes, I've stayed at newer resorts, but the lodge has a classic elegance that is felt from beginning to end. My husband and I go every winter. Love it ! Great getaway for a winter weekend. Im sure other seasons are the same. Always something to do.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the Lodge and Spa! My daughters and I came for a Moms weekend. We did a full day at the Spa, ate at HK's and had drinks by the fire. Our room was very spacious and clean.

Room Tip: We were put in an extra large queen overlooking the marina. It was spacious and quiet.

Spfldeater-

Thank you so much for your valued input, but most importantly your patronage. You are correct the weather can play a huge factor in one’s stay and being able to enjoy all the Lodge has to offer. Although, we still offer a lot of different unique activities during the off season we do hope you were able to take advantage. Thank you again and do plan to return soon.

Stayed two nights for a getaway during a mild winter weekend. Overall, the inside is average. There are some nice areas of the hotel (entry, spa, HK's restaurant, waterfall, etc.), but most of the hotel is best described as "tired and aging." For example, worn carpeting and chipped paint throughout the common areas.

Our room had was spacious and adequate, but needed some modernization and redesign. The TV was an older CRT TV, and the furniture and décor (a sole mirror) had a 1980's era feel. The room was large but there was an abundance of empty floor and wall space which didn't give a "homey" feel. Two irritating things in particular were the lack of free electrical sockets to plug our phones and tablet, and the tangle of cords about the TV area. All hotels we've stayed at have plenty of free wall sockets, or lamps with built in sockets to plug in your phone/computer for the night; not our room. We had to climb behind the bed and unplug the nightstand lamps to plug in our phones for the night. Around the TV was a tangle of cords that reminded me of something I might see in a college dorm room. It was a tangle of cable cords, power, cords and extension cords all in plain view. Definitely, not what I expected to see. The bed was clean and comfy with plenty of pillows which was nice. The bathroom was small but nice, and had been upgraded at some time in the recent past. It lacked a min-fridge which is fairly common these days.

We ate dinner twice at HK's and it was good, although the service was very slow. This seemed to be a widespread problem as we noticed other patrons experiencing slow service too. We ate breakfast at Breeze's twice and it was good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made a good impression.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to share your recent experience at The Lodge of Four Seasons. We truly appreciate your efforts and we would like to apologize for the lack of outlets you mentioned in the room you were staying in. Most of our rooms do feature the type of outlets you describe, but without knowing the room number I’m unable to put a work order in for this particular room. In addition, we have shared your comments with our culinary/front of the house teams to improve our overall experience for the slow service you received. Again, thank you for sharing and we hope to welcome you back to The Lodge soon.
