Another couple along with my wife stayed at the Cove Resort Cabins. I agree with a previous post about if you're going to see a band and get drunk, for one night this place is ok. Shower was tiny, A/C didn't work well, beds were extrremely hard, and doors on the cabins could easily let critters in as they let as much light as the windows in. My wife told me if I took her here for a romantic getaway she would probably slap me.

The pool set up was odd to say the least. It was connected to the Bearded Clam bar and had algae growing on the side walls of the pool. They only had two layout style loungers which was a drag.

Overall, we would definately not stay here again unless there was a great band playing. Just overall a terrible set-up.

Smells of mildew and urine, no upkeep on the facilities. Boat dock is on a very steep slick hill, boat slip assignment is like musical chairs. Had to run out to buy lysol and febreeze just to able to sleep that night. The boat dock is not secure as our life jackets were stewn about, wet, along w/beer bottles, and a broken latch on our deck boat door. Checked out next day, bit the bullet on the fee and chalked this up as lesson to be learned. The only feasable reason someone would stay here is for the band and party at the pool if they did not have a designated driver and were to drunk to drive home, although the car would be a better place to sleep. This place is a disgrace to the Branson area. To many choices to settle for a slum like this, your tent would be a better sleep, at least your own dirt.

Seems like they are changing from a family area to the band and bar crowd. Cabins need updating but were mostly clean.

My family and friends have all been meeting at the Cove Resort for 7 years now. It is very clean, especially the hotel rooms. The dock and slips are in good shape and in a good protected location. The restaurant next door makes for a quick bite to eat or a night out without driving. The prices are lower then many of the other resorts around. The owners are friendly and will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. I would recommend this to all my friends.

I found the cove resort to be a very affordable, clean place to stay.
The family owned resort was very hospitable. I spoke several times with the new owners. The old owners, I am told, were difficult. The new owners are attempting to turn the place into a family destination, and are not welcoming persons who party or disrupt the complex. In any event, I totally enjoyed my stay, the docks are located in a extremely protected cove, unlike the more expensive Kimberling Inn just down the street whose docks are exposed to the open channel. A friend of mine has stayed here for thirty years straight, coming every summer. This is a no frills location, but is fine for the budget minded.
