“Bad Choice”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

I can't imagine anyone rating this place a 2 or above. We stopped in for lunch on Saturday, and after looking over am, turkey, egg, cheese and all the fixins you would expect from a Chef Salad.
It took almost 20 minutes to get it and what a surprise! We had thought that the meat and cheeses would be really good since they also had a deli connected with the Cafe. First of all, the meat was sliced so thin that you could not tell the ham from the turkey and there was very little of either. Packaged cheese, no egg, they ran out. All of it was warm, and a package of saltines.
Do not eat at this place. We belong to a car club and would have loved to recommend this place as a day trip...but no way.

“Wonderful people with home style atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

We loved the hospitality and we felt like neighbors invited in to enjoy food and atmosphere. The food was very average. Food was similar to truck stop cafe food. We would go back just for the neighbor like visits even if the food is average

“The Rock Cafe”

We have been there 3 times now and I don't plan on going back. The service is average but they are extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed; just not too good with refills are bringing your final check.

The best thing I have tried is their Saturday Steak Night from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. It does take a long time to get your steak but they are pretty descent for the money. The biggest problem is you eat at their all-you-can-eat salad bar first and by the time you receive your steak, you are too full. Most of the food on the salad bar is okay... nothing special. My suggestion would be to order your steak and do not go to the salad bar until you receive your steak. Just remember, the said bar is not that great. T

“Cute, Homey Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

For a reasonable priced and good lunch try this old house made into a restaurant. Small rooms with good feeling. The sandwiches were tasty and dessert bar was only a dollar. You can't beat that and the pies seemed homemade. In the evening there is a buffet.

“Over the top food & atmosphere!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2012

What a wonderful surprise in a quaint B&B house, our dinner buffet was awesome, fresh and delicious country style with all the trimmings! The cozy atmosphere, friendly and fun servers made our visit memorable; thanks Char for even playing some pieces on the piano. The dessert selection was unbelievable, all homemade and amazing. Can't wait to go again, they also serve breakfast so can only imagine how good it would be to start the morning. Be sure to check out the 4th Street Deli next door, great food to go with a meat & cheese selection that rivals the big chain stores. This is a must stop if you are in the area.
