The Shoal Creek Living History Museum is a little slice of life in the 19th century. Its on a corner of Hodge Park by the golf course and it helps to know that its there to find it. Its about 80 acres in size and there are a number of buildings to explore. The first Saturday of each month they have events at the park. Walking around the park allows you to look at life in the 1800's and they have a nice selection of exhibits. You can pack a picnic basket and enjoy lunch at the site. There is a water mill, church, cemetery, schoolhouse a blacksmith shop and more. We wandered around for a couple of hours and will definitely will be going back. Some special events have a fee but most of the time the park is free to visit.
