I recently attended my grandson's birthday party held in a room set aside for such an event at the Science City at Union Station in Kansas City, MO. This particular party had a dinosaur theme to it so it was appropriate that it was located next to the dinosaur exhibits. Included in the reservation was a behind the scenes look at real dinosaur bones and the process the palaeontologists use in recovering and identifying the rock pieces. For many kids this was quite a treat. I found it very interesting to actually touch a bone that was millions of years old. Consider a birthday party or some such event there.
Afterwards, we were able to attend the rest of the Science City center. So much to do for kids and parents alike. Very interesting and fun to boot!
I would go again.

Science city is fantastic, engaging and hands-on....so much activity and learning and FUN! If you live in the area, buy a membership because it's the best deal in the city and you will still find new things to do even after six visits. Stroller friendly, easy-access bathrooms and exhibits are fun for toddlers up to middle school. For lunch, we like to walk through the pedestrian bridge to Crowne Center. It's a great outing for the family!

A sign asked that tickets be purchased at guest services, but there was no one at guest services to sell tickets,

Spookfest was a nice promotion at a city standard. Staff were pleasant. Creepy crayons and other projects were cool. The ending time was too late for us, especially since we had to get dinner and drive 45 minutes home afterwards. Family oriented event for families to spend time together before madnes of Halloween.

I bring my 18 month boy here frequently and I cannot think of any better attraction for kids in all of the Kansas City area. It's great for kids probably up to 10 years. Of course, after few visits, I became a member.
