The Midland is an echo of the past. I always feel more 'gracious' there. It is just elegant, comfortable, and a gem in Kansas City. Parking is relatively uncomplicated, and I have never felt unsafe walking in the area.

Not only is this building absolutely stunning, seeing a concert here is a treat. I prefer the floor (acoustics get strange up high) to see my favorite artists. I've seen several artists here, but standing in front of that stage, with the beautiful architecture, listening to songs you love.....its a bit magical.

This is one of the true architectual gems in Kansas City. Amazing craftsmanship is everywhere in this place. Been to many events at the Midland in the past and always come away happy with the experience. Good luck looking at whatever is happening on stage when the building is the true show.

For groups that are not big enough for the Sprint center, this is the perfect venue. It is beautiful, centrally located, historical, and well staffed. We were here for lots of concerts & were impressed every time. I love that there is a bar in the back- just perfect! The seats can be pushed too close together, that is really my only complaint. I have also been to shows without seats, which was good too.

Just attended the Rick Springfield concert here last weekend and was TOTALLY pleasantly surprised. It's just gorgeous inside--gilt, ornate, velvety goodness. We sat on the floor (section 103) and had a good view of the stage. I would recommend trying to secure seats on the first row of this section if they're available just so you don't have to sit behind anyone. And if you REALLY LOVE who you're going to see, just go ahead and buy the closet seat that you can. The bar was good. The stairs to the bathrooms downstairs are steep and not suggested for inebriated folks. Looking forward to going back.
